Ostotaure

Deep inside of the Nanakan Forest, isolationist elves of Nanakaland rebuilt the ancient forest city. Ostotaure is actually located above the ground on wooden platforms with hidden entrences. Thus, the saying arose that "Ostotaure can be seen only when the elves want it to be seen." However, that was not always true.

Ostotaure is connected to outposts, watchtowers (actually built around trees), and minor elven towns. Ostotaure is the hub of the elves that choose to live in the forest. Some towns and almost all watchtowers and outposts don't have any way to be reached to the ground except through the Ostotaurian platform system. Ostotaure is the fourth most important city in Nanakaland (behind Nanakapolis, Port Nanaka, and Nanakan Labs), but was in fact almost destroyed.

In The Return of Nanakaland, the Underground actually torched the city. Many survived, but Ostotaure was in ruins. It took hard work and many days to rebuild the once-great elven city. The platform system of Ostotaure is covered briefly in Nanakaland's Third Age - The Road to Division.
