Parthian News Network, or PNN, as it is commonly known to its millions of fans, is an internationally-acclaimed news network stationed in (and originating in) Parthia, famed for its hard-hitting, no-holds-barred news stories, insightful commentary, and the unashamed ultra-conservative stance it adopts when tackling issues. Several of its correspondents are female, and most of them are quite attractive; some people jokingly remark that this accounts for much of the network's popularity with male viewers. While not directly controlled by the state, the Minister of Information and Press, Lord Spahbodh Suren-Pahlav, rigorously monitors PNN's contents, ensuring that news which is "subversive, detrimental to the moral health of the nation, leftist-oriented, or disrespectful toward Zoroastrianism" is heavily censored or ommitted entirely, and that all news stories are slanted as far toward the right as possible and laden with pro-government, anti-Communist propaganda. It is not unheard of for reporters, radio announcers, news readers, etc. who do not toe the government line to receive visits from SAVAK at night, never to be seen again.

The network has several stations, each broadcasting in a different language, such as Persian, Arabic, Tajik, Avestan, etc.; PNN International is broadcast in English.

It is immensely popular, not only at home (where its audience share is a staggering 79.1%), but in other rightist countries, as well.

The network does, however, receive its share of criticism; however, as nearly all of the criticism directed toward it originates from left-leaning countries, this criticism is outright ignored.
