Pas de Calais

A postmodern republican nation in northwestern Europe, Pas de Calais is a largely rural country with excessively dense cosmopolitan clusters. As a moderate isolationist, the nation has fostered a comparatively heightened technological standard.

The government consists of a Congress, Judicial and Federal Legislatures, and a ten-member Avocats-Conseils Principaux (Prime Counsel), headed by the head of state, the Primier Ministre. The currently elected Primier Ministre (or Prime Minister, Jacques Kerouac, is serving out his five year term, set to end as of 2010. Next in order of succession is le Chef du Congrès, Henri Avignon, and le Grand Législateur Alfre Cavaille.

Income tax is at a steady 15%, and the healthy private sector is dominated respectively by the Arms Manufacturing and Biomedical Industries. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. The Costa Bravo national animal is the Sea Otter, and its currency is the Euro.
