Overview

The Peace Warriors are a team that has struggled throughout the years but have recently put together a skilled franchise that made it to the PopularFreedom Rugby League (PRL) final in 2005. The Warriors play their games in the city of Peace, PopularFreedom at Veterans Stadium.

History

  • In 1983 the Peace Warriors rugby franchise was formed in conjunction with the other seven teams of the league.
  • In 2001, their long rivalry with the hated Workers Point Bobcats turned into a complete slugfest on the field in the last game of the season.
  • In 2005, the Warriors made their first PRL championship appearance after a strong season. Despite being the season favourites, it was unfortunately the Lenita Legions who were able to be successful in the final winning the PRL championship by a score of 34-13.
