Porterdam

History

The City of Porterdam was established when it was apart of Colonial-Era Segasaturn in 1908 to allow France to coordinate shipping throughout south -eastern Segasaturn. After Segasaturn won it's Independence in 1978, The popluation grew and exploded - making it the country's third largest Port. After the Great Segasaturnian Anarchist Revolution in 1992, It became the Porterdam Commune - and it was of the Anarchist Commune's main commercial centers. But after New Ronin recieved it's independence in early 2004 - neighboring Porterdam City and suburban area next to it became displeased with Segasaturn and as a result - seceded from the Anarchist Communes of Segasaturn on August, 28, 2004 as the Republic of Porterdam. During the Two-Week Revolution in neighboring New Ronin, Porterdam decided to join The People's Republic to aid Anarchist Revolutionaries and for self sufficiency. It Became a City of New Ronin on September, 2, 2004. It joined along with the suburban area - making New Ronin 30% times larger.

Currently - it's the largest city in the People's Commune of New Ronin with a popluation of nearly 194 Million. It is also it's largest port.

Industries

Porterdam City has four main industries; Food processing & Production, Electronics Manufacturing, Oil Refining and Shipping. They are all controlled by workers collectives like the People's Electronics Collective and the [[Porterdam Port Collective]]. They provide the People's Commune of New Ronin with fuel, self-manufactured food, electronic products, and imported raw matterials.
