The Republic of Praetoria Novus is a relatively new and unknown nation located in the Norther Hemisphere. The nation is a constitutional republic with a parliamentary democracy.

The Republic of Praetoria Novus is a constitutional republic and has a parliamentary system of government. Valentian Jovinus is the current President of the Republic; however the President is primarily a symbolic figure as the Constitution gives few executive powers to the him, and these are in any case normally exercised only on the advice of the Prime Minister and his or her cabinet.
There are three branches of government.
- The legislature: the Republican Parliament, comprising the Senate of the Republic of Praetoria Novus and the President of the Republic. The President's is a symbolic role.
- The executive: the Federal Executive Council comprising the Prime Minister and his or her cabinet, the ministers of state.
- The judiciary: the Supreme Court of the Republic and other national courts. The State courts are formally subordinate to the Supreme and other national level courts.
