The Première Ligue Pepsioli de Soccer de Oliverry (usually refered to as the Première

Ligue Pepsioli) is the highest level of professionnal soccer (football) in the nation

of Oliverry.

The league formed in 2025, after the Ligue Oliverrienne de Soccer was disbanded

after bankrupcying. As all the teams in that league were owned by the league, every

team folded as well.

History

After the folding of the LOS, many soccer fans were disappointed. When 42 amateur

soccer clubs decided to form a new league, everbody was happy. But, the 14 best teams

were not happy about the way to create the divisions, so they decided to split even

before the first season started and formed the Première Ligue.

The 2025 season is the first one of the newly created league. The national cup, the

Coupe Oliverrienne, was kept by the National Association so that other teams could participate. After a partnership with the

Ligue Professionnelle de Oliverry about both the cup and the relegation/promotion

rules, both leagues' teams could take part ot the cup competition.

Structure

= Competition

The league comprises the 14 best teams of Oliverry. It is at the top of the Oliverrian

football structure. Each team plays the other clubs twice. The point system is the same

that is used conventionally in international competitions, although there have been

talks recently about dropping the number of points for a win to 2. The top team is

crowned champion and will play in the Coupe Pepsioli final. As per the agreement

with the Ligue Professionnelle de Oliverry, the 3 last teams are relegated to

Division 1 of the Ligue Professionnelle.

Finances and Sponsorship

In the first season, the league's financiary state was not the best. It struggled and

passed near bankruptcy as well. But, at the end of the season and with the [[Coupe

Oliverrienne]], money started to flow and there is no trouble about it anymore. But

teams have been experiencing financial troubles. Some of these teams needed to be

bought to survive, as was the case for Love City FC, which was recently bought by

Drakcorp, a Spaamian company.

About sponsorship, the main sponsor of the league is Pepsioli, which funds the league

at 45%. There are not really rules about Sponsorship, as Pepsioli will accept the fact

that concurrencing sponsors might exist. But, the fact that the only official drink is

Pepsioli Cola and has to be the only soda company accepted in stadia which are part of

the league made other Cola Companies stay away from that. Companies can also own teams

instead of funding them, which adds another depth to the league.

Media coverage

Oliverry

There is two levels of media coverage:

  • National
  • Local

The national one is an agreement the league has with a broadcaster. For the next 5

seasons, the matches will be broadcasted, on television, on Sportschannel in English and on TéléOli in French. The terms are that every team must have 2 games on the national level, so that no team gets disadvantaged. Both network are independant, so they are free to broadcast whatever game they want. There is also a radio broadcast in both French and English on Radio-Oliverry, the national radio network. Finally, there is internet broadcasting on the official website of the league (http://www.premiereligue.oli). The broadcasting rights are afterwards, divided equally between the 14 teams, so that no team gets disadvantaged again. The 2026 agreements totalize Ø68,865,000.

On the local scene, each team can discuss for the broadcast of its matches at a local television network. For example, Marshalliston City, last year, had an agreement with the television channel DSAW-TV for the broadcast of all its matches. The agreement was a 2 millions Oliver Dollars one.

International

The games are not presented internationally yet, although Sportschannel is available throughout Atlantian Oceania. There are talks with many international networks for the broadcast of the games, but nothing yet confirmated.

Video Games

Since the 2025 edition, a new video game, called Oliverrian Soccer (enter year here), has the sole rights to the incorporation of the league in a video game.
