Season Overview

Rappor FC retained their title after a late season push by Aanjar FC that worried the champions enough to play their key players in the final game of the season against lowly 17th placed Porasse FC, which they won convincingly 3-0. Aanjar FC, however, would not end the season disappointed, having been predicted to finish mid-table at best. Led by Khalil Jamhurra, the Lions' attacking midfielder (although he plays as a left winger for his club), the Aye Ayes, who are owned by 3wide Designs of Vilita, captivated the league enroute to their best finish ever, eclipsing last year's 4th place finish. Former U21 striker Dennis Howard led the team in scoring, nailing in 23 goals. Jamhurra had 12 himself, along with 16 assists.

Unlike Aanjar FC, Rappor FC came into the season as perrenial favorites along with Shoreland United, and they did not disappoint. By mid-season they were 9 points ahead of their nearest competitors, who was Dorpar AC at that time, and despite their late season slip ups, they still managed to capture their 2nd consecutive title without much fuss. With no bonafide star on the team, Rappor have managed to do it simply on outhustling and outworking opposing teams, with a strict never-say-die attitude instilled into the players by manager Jameel Dabkeh, who claimed his 2nd consecutive Manager of the Year award.
