Presidential Guard
The Presidential Guard is a law-enforcement body that was designed to protect the President of SEBTS and other high ranking officials and officers. However, the Novembarian State Department stated that the Presidential Guard is a secret police force under the control of President Danny Akin. The State Department in 2006 stated the guard was allowed to use force "against the President's political enemies with no judicial or legislative oversight." The Guard proved too few in number during the November Revolution, although they fought very well against the barely armed rebels. In the Battle of Raleigh Heights, the Guard was soundly defeated by Novembaria's Velghast, and has yet to recover. Because of this, they have had to resort to hiring mercenaries.
