Born to the children of West African immigrants, Qabe Oujadda is known in the The Pazhujeb Islands as a "unique" football player. In addition to being the only black player on the current Purple Sea Urchins selection, he is the only Muslim. In fact, he is one of only 4,000 actively practicing Muslims in the entire country. A youthful, pacy, and athletic right wingback, Oujadda was recently named by the Pazhujeb Islands Football Association as the most recent captain of the national team. This decision, while not poorly received by the football watching public, was unexpected, as Oujadda is extremely young, an ethnic minority, and other more experienced players were favored to grab the honor.

All this said, Oujadda may quickly lose his position. The appointment prior to the Baptism of Fire of Jaime Oberlander as the national team manager may result in an immediate change, as Mr. Oberlander is known for being disposed towards naming center halves to the captaincy. A decision is expected to be made soon.
