Overview

The R-Bots are a series of robots created by the Resi Corporation, and have been used in several wars, three revolutions, and numerious street riots. To date there are a total of four, possibly five, versions of R-Bots (depending on whether or not you count the massively destructive R-5). They are one of the Resi Corporation's two signature products, though not the best selling. Due to the forces of the Resi Corporation being primarily composed of R-Bots, the corporation has completed chapter upon chapter of tactics on how to use their units, which warlords who buy them generally proceed to ignore.

R-Bot v1.0

p1148799.jpg

  • Designation: Combat
  • Environment: Land
  • Armor Thickness: 0.25 in (synthetic Dragon Scale reinforced with Smart Steel, with titanium on the joints)
  • Size: 2 ft x 1 ft x 6 ft
  • Armaments: two heavy laser cannons (one in each arm) and whatever you give them.
  • Top Speed: 70 mph
  • Jump Height: 5 feet (10 feet with Kung-Foo program)*
  • Base Robot Units Cost: $80,000 each
  • Specs: The basic R-Bot, v1.0 is an emotionless warrior that carries out its tasks mindlessly and without complaint. v2.0 models often look upon these robots with pity, as they aren't aware of their actions. However, this pity is misplaced, as v1.0's don't know what they are doing, and thus can't care.

R-Bot v2.0

p1148802.jpg

  • Designation: Combat
  • Environment: Land
  • Armor Thickness: 0.3 in (synthetic Dragon Scale reinforced with Smart Steel, with titanium on the joints)
  • Size: 2 ft x 1 ft x 6.1 ft
  • Armaments: two light plasma cannons (one in each arm), tasers in the hands, two shoulder-mounted miniguns
  • Top Speed: 80 mph
  • Jump Height: 6 feet (20 feet with Kung-Fu program)
  • Base Robot Units Cost: $120,000 each
  • Specs: As well as being all-around better than the v1.0 model, v2.0 has the ability to portray a broad range of emotions, thus making it more compatible with human soldiers. Its prime objective, as in the first model, is to serve its masters. It does this, even against its emotional programming, because a "satisfaction/glory" program is activated while it is in the process of following orders. This model can hold five programs, and comes with the "Ally" program already installed. A rocket belt is a part of this model, enabling it to fly for short distances. The use of this feature is pre-programmed, although it runs more smoothly when the Kung-Fu program is installed.

R-Bot v3.0

p1148805.jpg

  • Designation: Combat
  • Environment: Land/Air
  • Armor Thickness: 0.325 in (synthetic Dragon Scale reinforced with Smart Steel, with titanium on the joints)
  • Size: 2 ft x 1 ft x 6.3 ft
  • Armaments: two light plasma cannons (one in each arm), tasers in the hands, one shoulder-mounted minigun, knives in wrists, small rocket launchers in wrists
  • Top Speed:' 85 mph
  • Jump Height: 8 feet (25 feet with Kung-Foo program)
  • Base Robot Units Cost: $150,000 each
  • Specs: The third R-Bot incarnation may have one less minigun than its predicessor, but has more than enough firepower in other weapons to make up for its loss. This robot is fully air-capible, as it has thrusters in its legs, arms and back, supporting it fully in flight. It also has the most advanced A.I. to date, being only one iota removed from complete sentience. This robot, like v2.0, already has the "Ally" program, but can hold one more additional program than its older brother, bringing up the amount of program slots to six.

R-Bot v4.0

p1148806.jpg

  • Designation: Combat
  • Environment: Land/Air
  • Armor Thickness: 0.35 in (synthetic Dragon Scale reinforced with Smart Steel, with titanium on the joints)
  • Size: 2.1 ft x 1.2 ft x 6.7 ft
  • Armaments: two medium plasma cannons (one in each arm), tasers in the hands, two miniguns in back knives in wrists, small rocket launchers in wrists
  • Top Speed: 85 mph
  • Jump Height:' 8 feet (25 feet with Kung-Foo program)
  • Base Robot Units Cost: $175,000 each
  • Specs: Better armed and armored than the third R-Bot, the forth version is also bigger than its predicessors. The small plasma cannons in earlier R-Bots have been upgraded to medium plasma for this model, allowing it to pack an enormous punch, akin to walking, flying artillary. The v4.0 is the ultimate artillary soldier. Like v2.0 and v3.0, v4.0 already has the "Ally" program, but can hold one more additional program than its older brother, bringing up the amount of program slots to seven.

R-5 Warbot

p766167.jpg

  • Designation: Combat
  • Environment: Land/Air
  • Armor Thickness: 0.4 in (synthetic Dragon Scale reinforced with Smart Steel, with titanium on the joints)
  • Size: 4 ft x 2.5 ft x 6 ft
  • Armaments: two medium plasma cannons (one in each arm), tasers in the hands, two miniguns in back, two miniguns in the arms, knives in arms, repeating rocket pods in arms
  • Top Speed: 85 mph
  • Jump Height: Flies indefinitely
  • Base Robot Units Cost: $200,000 each
  • Specs: Built in an era when virus protection is at its peak, the C.w.C. IV processors in these robots are immune to all known viruses due to a series of antivirus programs and firewalls. Although these robots are more stout than their counterparts, they are much better armed, being programmed with Hivemind, Ally, Kung-Fu, and five other open program slots. On the battlefield, the immense R-5 is a nightmare to behold, its maniacal claws and powerful weaponry striking fear into even the most battle-hardened of soldiers. In short, the R-5 is a welcome addition to any army.
