Raf'yn is a city in north-west Sabrateur, located in The Spectrum. It is believed to have had a permanent Sabratese settlement there from around 1253, from when it developed into the economic centre of Sabrateur.

Famous Landmarks/ Exports

  • Raf'yn harbour is the most famous port in Sabrateur, and also the busiest, particularly notable for the huge cruise liners which dock there.
  • The Sound Garden was a concept derived by artists Yasser Mayheir; it is a huge perspex cube which inside has a living garden complete with plants and sculpture. It it sealed and is only entered for maintainance.
  • Raf'yn Stock Exchange is the busiest centre of economics in Sabrateur.

Trivia

  • Raf'yn is the northernmost city in Sabrateur.
  • In 1989, Raf'yn hosted the first Raf'yn Calling, an annual music festival based in venues across the cities, incorporating classical music, popular music, poetry, comedy and film over a two week period, curated by the pop band Rinceton Preview (famous sons of the city). It has been repeated every subsequent year, curated by a different group or individual every time, and has become a huge national event.
