Queen Rewa, also refered to as Supreme Ahiki Rewa, is the ruling monarch of the Federated Polynesian States. She came to power at the age of 18 when her father, King Tanu, resigned in order to regain his position as ahiki (chief) of his home village, Va'ahokai.

Although in theory she may wield absolute power, the Queen's task is to preserve national unity and a feeling of consensus. As respect for Elders is a firm tradition in the FPS, she also finds herself in the paradoxical position of ruling over elderly compatriots whom she is expected to defer to at all times. Many Federal Polynesians perceive this as a sensible balance which ensures consensus will constantly be maintained.

Queen Rewa is a fairly short, young Polynesian woman, with dark hair and dark eyes. She is usually described as slender, almost thin, but she is currently quite heavily pregnant with her first child. Her husband, Pualele Anufe, holds no chiefly title, but their child will nonetheless be heir to the Federal Polynesian throne.

The Queen appears to be well liked and respected by her subjects, and is seen as able to juggle to needs of modernity with the upholding of Maohi tradition.
