Introduction

The extant monarch of the Iluvauromeni Commonality of Everlasting Light, holding numerous titles (listed below). The monarch holds various powers, most notably the power of Imperial Decree, making the Empress a figure of extreme power and esteem amongst the Iluvauromeni People. Rialla II holds particular favour in the Commonality.

Rialla II is the fifteenth in the line of the ux-Rihad Dynasty, and the second ux-Rihad to bear the name Rialla. Rialla I was the third Empress of the old Empire of the Eternal Flame - an Empress known for a brief but hopeful truce in the otherwise unbroken Two Thousand Year War.

The name is from an old, now defunct word of High Nenya, meaning hope eternal.

Birth

Unknown. No records exist of the birth of any of the Imperial Family of Iluvauromen. Long-standing tradition means that each heir to the throne - and their immediate siblings - are all raised under secret identities to prevent assassination and ensure continuity of the Bloodline. Nobody is told when such a birth occurs and no records are kept. Since all members of the Imperial Family are Nenyar, and all are to some extent empathic or telepathic, it is difficult to see how this tradition is maintained - but it is clear that usurping the throne would be a complex and difficult task because of it.

Early Life

Rialla II has made mention in public speeches of early events in her life, but none can be corroborated and so none are included. It is, however, relatively clear that she spent some time working alongside her parents in the Dawn Revolution.

Ascension

Rialla II ascended to the throne after the early (and sudden) resignation of her father, Si Ling I. Seen by many as bloodthirsty and warlike, Si Ling's replacement was both met with popularity and concern - and wariness. The Coronation ceremony was lavish, and observed by numerous powerful world leaders, which, at the time, served to cement the new monarch's position. She enjoys unprecedented popularity in Iluvauromen.

A curious, and perhaps psionic phenomenon was reported at the ascension itself, but has not been confirmed by any source as fact.

Notable Achievements

Popularity. After the bloodthirsty Si Ling I, Rialla II has been seen by many as a breath of fresh air. Her push for the cementing of the Commonality early has given rise to a the current civilization - earning her the public title 'Mother of the Nation', even though this title is also owned by her mother, the Royal Mother Professor-Doctor Commissioner Bao Ling I.

She has also played an extensive role in the ongoing restructuring of the Commonality Armed Forces, as well as overseeing unprecedented colonial expansion in the space theatre. She is a primary 'pusher' of the Iluvauromeni Sol Mass-Transit Network.
