The Environmental States of Richfield MN was founded in late December 2003. The government of Richfield MN is run by the Green Council who vets decisions for Environmental friendliness. Gay Marriage is legal in Richfield MN and the nation is a haven for GLBT people who have fled in exile from other nationstates.

On the 21st November the Green Alliance was returned to power in a landslide victory. The co-operative leadership of the Green Council pledged to continue the succesful environmental policies which have taken place during the previous two terms in office.

The Centrist Party knocked the Conservatives into third place by taking 20 seats from them. Opinion polls prior to the election had indicated a close race for 2nd place. A Conservative party spokesman declined to comment on his party's electoral disaster but rumors abound that the leader will be removed from office.
