Short Biography

Bob Hiops was born in the Federation of Rineu to Neudegg-born parents in Rineu on work. He was educated in the Rineu state education system and came to Neudegg for the first to attend the Uinto University despite having Neudegg citizenship since birth. Hiops went on to achieve a masters degree in Education.

Hiops became Deputy Head Teacher and a German teacher in the Neudek Central Private School before stepping down to stand for the Tiuo City Southeast seat in Parliament which was and remains a safe Liberal seat. Hiops was one of only 19 Liberal members of Parliament at the time of his first election which allowed him to ascend through the ranks of the party. He became Leader of the Liberals in 2002.

Hiops is credited with reaching agreement on the alliance with his party and the Neudegg Greens which provides that a Green and Liberal will not stand for the same seat, in order to reduce the likelihood of splitting their votes. It also provides for voting together in the Parliament and supporting each others suggestions. The agreement however does not relate to the Presidency election where candidates from both parties are provided.

Hiops was elected by his peers to be the Leader of the Liberal Green alliance in addition to leading the Liberal Party in its own right. Hiops was selected as the Liberal Party candidate to stand for the Presidency in March 2007.
