The Rostovian Pact was a short-lived, but very powerful alliance

between Rostovia, TheApartheid, OrangeFreeState, and Corzia, although the latter was an unwilling member.

Formation of The Pact

The creation of what was to be the Rostovian Pact started in late 2004, Real Time, when the leaders of Rostovia, TheApartheid, and OrangeFreeState all invaded The Allied States of Corzia. The Big Three (as the invaders called themselvs) had complete control of Corzia three days after the invasion began. The reasoning behind the attack was never understood, though many believe that Rostovia was eager to show off its military strength and Corzia was an easy target. Soon after the invasion the Big Three realized that they would have to have a more permenent alliance if they were going to survive the repercussions of their actions. Leaders from the Big Three all signed a pact for mutual defence and free trade and forced Corzia to sign as well.

Actions of the Pact

While the charter of the alliance allowed the nations to leave at any time, this was not the case. Several times Corzia demanded to leave but these calls were either ignored or silenced by the United Armed Forces of the Rosovian Pact. The biggest actions of the Pact was the attempted quelling of a Corzian war of independence, now known as The First Corzian War. It is estimated that one million Corzians died as result of the Pact.

End of the Rostovian Pact

While the leaders of TheApartheid and OrangeFreeState were very close to Rostovia, there was a growing feeling among the citizens of both nations that the pact did not help them, and that they were puppets of Rostovia. These feelings helped undermine the efforts of the UAFRP in Corzia and caused the full withdrawl of OrangFreeState's, and TheAparthied's forces, as they were needed to keep order at home. Rostovia, alone in a war that was not going in their favor, retreated from Corzia for five years until the Second Corzian War. That war effectivly ended the pact as all nations either rebelled or had peaceful coups.

The Aftermath

The end of the Rostovian Pact guarnteed the independece of Corzia, the stop of Rostovian agression, and the political reforms of both TheApartheid and OrangeFreeState. The latter nations moved to South Africa and have now condemed their actions when they were in the Pact. Rostovia, ashamed and upset, went on several failed attempts to form a "Neo-Alliance" to crush all the nations that they felt had betrayed them. When these all failed Rostovia faded into obscurity and soon failed to function as a nation. As of May 14th, 2005 Real Time, Rostovia no longer exhists.
