The team also boasts from having the largest stadium of all teams, and once the largest following, replaced recently by the Fedala Imperials.
History
Officially founded as a first division team in 1833 under the auspices of banker Danie Gieldber it rose through the ranks of stardome to become one of the most beloved teams of Macabee history, originally having enough spectators to fill all the seats of Olympic Stadium, by far the largest stadium in the country, which also serves as a potential stadium for track and field exercises in the event of international olympic games held in the country. In modern times about four million seats are filled up on average, with peaks hitting full when Royal Club Española meets another well known team - or for an international football tournament. It, without a doubt, is the most celebrated team in the history of the national league.
From 1835 to 1905 they played a total of four thousand eight hundred games, both friendly and official, and have been the team that most players go on to play for the national team. In fact, local star Hans Kahn has been one of the most infamous and famous players that has walked onto the world cup field. He has been the goalkeeper of Royal Club Española since 2007, and played both in World Cup 25 and World Cup 26, this latter tournament being more successful for him than the former. Nonetheless, this is only further proof of the impact which the club has had in national and international football. In 1893 the club suffered a tragedy as the stadium was bombed by a Weigari rebel, killing thousands of spectators and two players of the team. It was with that regard in which the team played during the Great Civil War, even with the absence of a league, against other teams willing, entertaining people in the different Kingdoms and Republics which rose during the hectic years of internal war.
During the War of Golden Succession, the team went along with the Fedala Imperials and played free games for the populace, and after the war played in SafeHaven2. Nonetheless, it keeps a hot rivalry with Fedala for victory in upcoming seasons, knowing Fedala to be an upstart team that has rocked the nation.
