River Salis

The River Salis is the second longest river in the region, and it is one of the most important waterways. It runs from the Akaeian refugee camp of Odeanna in the north to the Saint Michele estuary in the south. The name Salis comes from the Akae-Sicinian word for spit, as the old myths held that the Salis was a river of saliva from a sleeping giant. Today the River plays an important part in both Akaeia's and Sicinia's trade, as many of its cities rely upon it as a transport for their food and resources. It was once the border between Akaeia and Sicinia, but became entirely part of Sicinia during the Three Day's War and the subsequent purchase of the Valley of Dreams.
