The Satellite Orbital Laser (SOL)
The Satellite Orbital Laser or SOL, is an orbital weapon created by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. It is under the control of the Imperial Japanese military. Because of the massive power the beam produces at firing, there is often a resultant explosion originating at the point of terrain contact. The name, SOL, is based on the Roman god of the Sun, who also goes by the name Sol.
