Shlepsi Military Facility is a Joint Military Base (JMB) located in Vandilla Province, in western Asgarnieu. Shlepsi Military Facility is home to members of each branch and sub-branch of service within the Asgarnian Armed Forces Command (AAFCOM).

It is the 2nd largest military facility in the whole of Asgarnieu, and one of the largest in the region.

History

The base started out as Asgarnieu's first airbase, Western Sector Air Base #1. It was home to barrage and observation balloons as well as FAC-1 "Tenor" fighter aircraft. The bases commander, Vincent Vega Shlepsi, was killed in action during the 3-day Battle of Araban, when Araban was a city within the Asgarnian Empire. One year later, the base was re-named Shlepsi Air Base in memoriam of Vincent V. Shlepsi.

In 1953, the base was shut down, and used as a testing facility for new missiles and bombs, creating Shlepsi Test Range. When the Asgarnian Government bought out a vast expanse of land around Shlepsi Test Range to accomodate nuclear testing, the airbase was re-opened, and Shlepsi Military Facility was born.

In 2006, after the long-overdue re-evaluation and re-structuring of the Asgarnian Armed Force, Shlepsi Military Facility was filed under Joint Military Bases (JMB's), and was expanded to a massive facility, comprising over 84,889 square miles.
