Smytallra desert

The Smytallra desert is a vast, barren landscape stretching from Starwarsia up past Anubinia's northern border.

The desert is in itself an oddity, given its large distance from the equator – it is the direct result of an anomaly in the planet’s ozone, allowing a disproportionate amount of heat and sun light through, leaving much of the area desolate and dry.

Religious legend states that the desert was formed in a great Anubinian/Uudestaani rivalry thousands of years ago. The Uudestaani God, Jamala punished the Anubinians for their crimes and hedonistic lifestyle by turning their once fertile empire into sand. Henceforth, the name is derived from the Anubinian word for desert, "Smyt" to evolve into the PEEL Language word "smite". "Smite All Ra", or to punish the followers of the Pharaoh Ra the Great.

Over the years, the desert has slowly began to become more inhabited, as settlers move into the region and create cities close to water sources, mostly the offshoots of the Nihl River.
