Solbergelven

Solbergelven is an inoffensive centrist democracy in the Autistane region.

History

The native Solbergelvians are a Franco-Germanic tribe, and mostly live in the northern mountains bordering Barsaca. When the settlers from Europe arrived, they severely oppressed the native population, and imposed French as the only language legal in public. Alternative Norwegian and English are also important languages, although English is not well liked, due to the large French-speaking population. The penguin is important all over the country, but the French did ban the original population to eat them. They were soon known to be great warriors, and quickly built an empire, making it a dictatorship with an enormous military system. Although the government currently spends 1% on the military, they still have compulsory military service.

Society

Taxation levels has always been high, especially for the rich. Today they pay 100% tax, and the governement takes their property and money, and there is no inheritance for the rich. It is also a very enviromental society, and it is social suicide to drive a car.

About religion: The populace are rather devouted and mostly Catholics, and the archbishop is also the religious advisor.

The governement spendings on education are low, meaning taking higher education is very unusual, and mostly for rich, although beeing rich is a living hell in Solbergelven.
