Literal translation:

Attention, reader! The country independent in the SMS is Sozy. Freedom, small government and harmony for all peoples in Sozy works she (Sozy). And the freedom of the individual protects Sozy.

These were the beginning principles of the constitution during the short reign of Santixke åti’Þighberixtæ during the Sozian Libertarian Union, altough this text was forbidden during the Sozian Communist Republic, it became popular during and after the second Sozian revolution in 1989. This text is now the introduction (in various languages) of the Sozian Constitution.

Geography

Sozy is a vast country with billions of people, its landscape cannot be described in one sentence, for it is to diverse to be considered one type of landscape. There isn't one "typical Sozian" landscape, but tens of different landscapes that formed the many ethnic peoples of Sozy uniquely.

Island Sozy is by far the largest area of Sozy, it is the largest island in the SMS, and home to a couple of billion people. It has palm trees and hot ocean water in the South, white cliffs and foggy weather in the North, and a central part of inhospitable mountains with snow peaks. Continental Sozy is the strip of land next to Black Kettle, it is home to many different ethnic groups, and as many different landscapes. Grasslands in the central part, high mountains in the east and low hills in the South. Last, but not least is the Overseas territories, a previously uninhabited area granted to Sozy after the construction of the North Sea Canal of the SMS, it is a beautiful area, with mountains, cold dry weather and a sea with seals and other impressive marine life.

Recently, much of the environment suffers due to the growth of civilian areas, and the unstopping process of uranium mining.

Continental Sozy

Continental Sozy is a relatively small strip of land for Sozian standards. However, two third of the people live and work there. Its size doesn’t make it less diverse, every valley gives you a different view than the other, every field with horses isn’t quite like the one twenty kilometres away. Simply said, the East is mountainous, the centre is hilly and green, the coastal areas are rocky, extremely urbanised, and industrial. ........................................................................................................................................................................................

Caput Mundi (Province)

Caput Mundi (Province) is located in the coastal centre of the Sozian mainland. It is the most densely populated province of Sozy. It has more work offices than all the provinces on the island! The coast is still relatively calm. The North has many Industrial ports and cities, the South has many crowded beach resorts (as most of the rocky coastline is not suitable for recreation) and beach villas owned by people throughout the country. If you like to be amongst people, and if you like modern pop culture, then Caput Mundi is the perfect place for you to be!

Landscape

The landscape of Caput Mundi used to be swampland and grasslands, but most of that has been urbanised or had to suffer due to the extensive infrastructure. It has an inhospitable rocky seashore and a hilly grassland in the very east. The coastal province of Caput Mundi has a “Cfb” climate (Mild with no dry season, warm summer)

CaputMundi.JPG

The Sozian motorways allow fast transport, most of them are toll roads.

The Capital

The Capital City of Caput Mundi is Caput Mundi-city, also the capital and financial centre of the Sozian nation. It is also home of one of the oldest film production sites in the country. The city has the highest ground price per squared kilometre of the entire country, varying per quarter. Though many middle-class quarters are well-protected by private security companies, criminality is still a serious problem in many areas of the city.

Èskia Sozy

Located in the North of the mainland Èskia Sozy is the largest province on the mainland, life is slightly less expensive and tensed than it is in Caput Mundi. Èskia Sozy has a long coastline and a country that ends up in the grasslands bordering Black Kettle. It has one of the best infrastructures in the country, and international traffic is not uncommon in the province. Criminality is relatively low, though car theft is still quite a problem.

Landscape

In Èskia Sozy little of its original landscape remained, except for the start of the Dreje mountains in the East. The land has mostly been used for modern industry and new cities that came along with them. It is not unusual to see 12-lane motorways crossing through environmentally sensitive areas. The province has a Cfb climate (Mild with no dry season, warm summer), with the inland being slightly colder but less humid than the coastal area.

The Capital

The capital of Èskia Sozy is the former military harbour city Èskiaghir. Nowadays, it is notable for its Automobile imports and sales. Cargo ships longer than 350 metres dominate the coastline of the city. The old city centre has some old military buildings, but most buildings are offices.

Werbia Sozy

In the South of the mainland is Werbia Sozy, ethnically, the Werbian area crosses the actual international border of Sozy. The province is hilly, but the highest mountains are the huge industrial complexes, which employ hundreds of thousands of people. The region is known for its architecture and fashion, but this is mostly present in the coastal cities. The cities in (what used to be) the country are industrial cities with hundreds of grey apartment blocks.

Landscape

If we look at the original landscape of Werbia Sozy we see hills and creeks, where Werbian settlements can be found. Forests used to cover most of the area, before industrialisation began. Some ancient forests can still be found in the very East of the country, but these are mostly privately owned estates. The province has a Cfc climate (Mild with no dry season, cool summer).

The Capital

The capital of Werbia Sozy is fashion centre Ruðböot. Traditionally, this was where Werbian traders met and sold their products. There’s still a “floating market” in the old harbour of the city. But the rebuild centre consists out of many top fashion shops, boulevards and piers with yachts worth millions.

Dreje Sozy

Dreje Sozy, is the Eastern mountain area of Sozy. It became part of Sozy in 1912. It has a history of struggle, tribal wars and harsh winters. Slowly but surely the province is breaking the chains of its past and is turning into a modern Sozian province, a new industry of ski resorts came out to be an excellent solution to the unemployment which hit the area. The province is highly traditional, the construction of factories and power plants was often met with violence from communities.

Landscape

The famous KîgÞur Mountain would be stereotypical for the landscape of Dreje Sozy were it not located in a totally different province. Dreje Sozy is completely covered with rugged mountains, narrow valleys, glaciers and rocks. Even though the mountains are quite capable of becoming massive ski resorts, most choose the class of the other mountain area on the Sozian island. The province has a snowy H Climate (highland).

Drejesozyhut.jpg

A hut of a herder in the extremely mountainous centre of the province.

The Capital

The Capital is Ķąąląţǐǐschmœ’ghîsèm, named after a Dreje Partisan. It actually looks like a simplified name compared to the names of many villages in this beautiful province! It is considered a holy place by religious Dreje people. And a political symbol of independence. If you are fond of ancient architecture styles, then this is the place to be.

Island Sozy

Island Sozy is a massive island that forms the geographical heart of the nation. It is divided North-South and East-West by a huge group of high mountains in the centre of the island. The South will remind you of cosy holidays along sub-tropic coasts, hot days and warm nights at the camp fire. The North has a rugged landscape in the country, which ends up in the white cliffs that form the shoreline. Both west and east go from Mountains to lowlands and wide sandy beaches. Though much of it has been destroyed by uranium mining. ........................................................................................................................................................................................

Northern Sozy

If you leave the mainland by boat and go east you end up in Northern Sozy, located along the shoreline of sunset straits. Northern Sozy is a province where the Sozian culture is and has always been at its height. It is a libertarian political fortification, though with a huge conservative fraction. There is slightly less Uranium mining activity than in Western Sozy, but it is still an industry that employs tens of millions of Sozians. It is here where the first Sozians settled.

Landscape

The sandy coast of Northern Sozy is the centre of all major regional cities, in the North there’s a swampland and grasslands, a notoriously conservative region as known by others. The middle part used to be forests, before heavy industries came. The South is a warm, pleasant region, with a mix of the Vrancian and the Sozian culture. The northern area has a Cfc climate (mild with no dry season, cool summer). Pretty much most of the coastal area has a Cfb climate (mild with no dry season, warm summer), but there is a fast turnover into a Dfb climate (humid with severe winter, no dry season, warm summer). The very South has a Csb (mild with dry, warm summer).

cottage-lake.jpg

Many areas of Northern Sozy are green and swampy

The Capital

Vènghörjit, is the capital of Northern Sozy, traditionally a fisher’s village. During the times of the Vrancian Dynasty, it was one of the last areas from where Sozians resisted the Empire. Finally it was conquered, and some beautiful Vrancian buildings can still be found in the city centre. However, way before this, Vènghörjit was a quiet coastal village locally known for is high-quality fish. The fishing industry is now challenged with more competition, but for the ones in the know, there are still some unique fishes available in the local markets.

Eastern Sozy

Eastern Sozy located about in between the two largest rivers of the island. It inhabited by an ethnically Sozian group of people. The province is well known for its quality agricultural provinces. Some decades ago, nuclear tests were done in the Eastern Sozian countryside. When Eastern Sozian peasants were not informed and started to grow crops, glowing vegetables were the result. These glowing vegetables are not edible by humans, but can be used as a fuel for tractors. Signs of Wulfras eating it and becoming extremely aggressive are still being investigated.

Landscape

Enclosed by two rivers lies a low mountain area named Eastern Sozy or “Èjeter Zozii” by the locals. The low mountains gain some altitude at the province border in the South, in the North they end up as steep cliffs in the sea. Eastern Sozy has a harsh Dwb climate (Humid with severe, dry winter, warm summer), except for the area east of the two great rivers here’s a Cfc climate (mild with no dry season, cool summer).

The Capital

Vjilkäa is the capital of Eastern Sozy. Like Vènghörjit a city where Sozian resistance against the long-gone Vrancian Dynasty was fierce. The prince that led the war was beheaded when the city was conquered. Nowadays, a marble sculpture of his head can be found in front of the Eastern Sozian parliament building. Eastern Sozian is home to some light industry and services.

Western Sozy

Western Sozy is located along the shoreline of the Great West Sea. It is also known as the “Nuclear Power Plant of Sozy”. Hundreds of millions of people work in the Uranium Mining industry. The province is known for its insurance companies, and insurance frauds. Major construction companies, and fraud in this sector. The province is also known for the Soziaansch communities, extremely orthodox Sozians that refuse any electronic devices in their communities.

Landscape

In the North the beaches consist out of steep cliffs hundreds of metres high, other coastal areas in Western Sozy have mainly got rocky beaches. In the middle is a former swamp land which is now home to the largest miners population in Sozy. More inland the landscape gets hilly. The province has a Dfb climate (Humid with severe winter, no dry season, warm summer).

The Capital

Toksxeghi, a city built in the 70s is the administrative capital of Western Sozy. It is a Sozianised word derived from the English word “toxic”. It is the heartland of the ultra-Libertarian Sozian Rifle Association: which believes the reason that drinking water glows green is an attempt of the government to make people poor and enforce federal taxes.

Central Sozy

Central Sozy includes the huge mountain area of the island. It is not inhabited by Sozians, but by a ethnic group that separated itself from the Sozians several millennia ago. Central Sozy was the centre of a huge Empire which collapsed in 1912. Nowadays, it is a major ski resort. There still exist a small (traditional) woodcarving industry, but the largest industry is uranium mining and their associated power plants.

Landscape

Central Sozy has enormously high mountains (often higher than 5 kilometres) and wide valleys (often urbanised) separated from other valleys by narrow but beautiful passes. Both the snowy and sunny landscape are ideal for both sporting and relaxing. At the borders of the province, the mountains get lower, looking more innocent, and the glaciers turn into rivers. A famous example is KîgÞur Mountain. A H (Highland) climate that goes over into a Dfb climate at the borders of the province.

The Capital

The capital (Cimbrii) is named after the first monarch of the L’ìghübirghum dynasty: Yjiov Cimbrii). It isn’t as big as most cities in Sozy, but it is indeed a large city. It lays in the middle of three of the largest ski resorts of the country, which attract tens of millions of tourists every winter season. In the summer season, the city is flooded by tourists who come to enjoy the low liquor prices and the gambling industry.

Vrancian Sozy

Vrancian Sozy is located in the Southern, Mediterranean area of the island. It used to be the great centre of one of the greatest ancient Empires, the Vrancian Dynasty. Nowadays Vrancian Sozy is one of the calmest, warmest areas of Sozy. Most peasants now own camp sites or private national parks. The urban areas are the centre of Vrancian-Sozian literature, architecture and theatre.

Landscape

Its white sandy beaches and transparent blue-green water are paradise for most people in Sozy, and a source of income for the locals. Inland is a Mediterranean landscape, dry, hilly, and sunny. In the North of the province start the mountains of Central Sozy. Vrancian Sozy has a Csa climate (Mild with dry, hot summer), although the Northern area is often disputed, which is said to have a Csb climate (Mild with dry, warm summer).

The Capital

Porti Viagnèt, an ancient city known for its fish market and inviting boulevards, is the administrative centre of Vrancian Sozy. It is one of the oldest cities in Sozy, and it was the start of the first International Yacht race in the SMS. It is a very clean and calm city, compared to other cities. It is also less industrial, and more touristic.

Overseas territory

The overseas territory of Sozy isn’t quite like any place in Sozy. It is colder, it is less damaged by the uranium mining industry. The roads are straight instead of curvy, the lakes are often public lakes, unlike in Sozy. The people are more adapted to foreign cultures, the landscape itself is not Sozian. The land was given to Sozy, and therefore it treats it with respect in accordance with the standards of the international community.

Auslà Sozy

This new region, previously an uninhabited lowland, is now a centre of trading and gambling. Auslà Sozy is a perfect mix for a businessman, having an huge office block in the city and a chalet back in the forest does not need to be a luxury. International boats from Latta and the Pine Squirrels pass peacefully through the extensive harbour of this colony. The local inhabitants are a few seals and fish, who never pose any difficulties.

Pic_display.jpg

The "cottage-culture" of Sozy is even more noticeable in their overseas territory

Landscape

The landscape is dominated by pine trees and tiny lakes where it isn’t urban. In the urban areas, the landscape is dominated by a skyline of office buildings. Auslà Sozy has a Dfc climate (Sub-artic, severe winter, no dry season, cool summer). Sometimes it occurs that a huge iceberg passes by, which are then subjected to the flashes of millions of photographs and people that try to come close to it.

The Capital

The capital is Þulæfgoð, named after a huge Sozian international trading company: Þulæf. It is a large city with much facilities, traffic signs and name plates are written in various of languages. The prices of leisure products (soft drugs in particular) are much cheaper than in other cities, and the harbour is always lively.

History

The history of Sozy can be divided into a couple of eras:

Politics (unfinished)

Organisation of the Sozian State (to be improved)

Sozy is a vast land, and can therefore not be governed by an extremely centralised government. Instead, Sozy is more a federal republic with loosely associated states or provinces. Within those provinces counties exist (and some fractional counties within city-counties). In History, Sozy was governed by centralists authorities, first Monarchs, later Communists. Such policies did not treat respectfully the needs of the different ethnic groups that live within the border of Sozy. The three-governments (national, regional, local) proved to be an excellent way of governing, like in many other countries of the democratic world. However, legislation is not easily passed due to the extremely important Libertarian constitution.

Federal State

åt RugreÞævai Sozik:

ål Kemtür Sozik åti’Boniijlan (The National Council of Ministers) exists out of a group ministers with each a specific task in the government of Sozy. When they are appointed by åt Reuräarof (One who establish and creates the National Council of Ministers after an election), they take a Classic-Sozian name at the statue of Santixke åti’Þighberixtæ.

The President is helped in his decisions by ål Kemtür Sozik Kram (the National Advisory Council made up out of notable individuals, political retirees, professors, captains of industry or other important social and military figures, this advisory council has a total of 25 members. The follow the same ritual as the ministers, where they take a classic-Sozian name under the statue of Santixke åti’Þighberixtæ.

The Ministers together with their main deputy ål Sekirs Grëðung (the State Secretary) and åt Lhamèröki (the President, who is both head of state and government and also appoints the åt Reuräarof) they form the åt RugreÞævai Sozik (The National Government).

ål Treffung Sozik:

Each four years, a ål Treffung Sozik åtigh’Liuðmghurpekjlösozyjlan (Parliament) of 1000 people is elected by citizens of the age of eighteen, with a Sozian passport. The election is fairly simple, people vote on one of the national parties, for each 0.1% of the votes, one party candidate (the first one being the chairman) will get into parliament.

A ål Treffung Sozik Senatik (Senate) of 100 people is elected by all Sozian citizens of the age of twenty-one each eight years. They operate as a controlling body of the Parliament. They tend to be slightly more Conservative, and less willing to pass changes.

The Parliament and Senate together form ål Treffung Sozik, (the National Assembly).

Regional State

The regional government is administrated fairly comparable with that of the federal government. Some names differ, åt Lhamèröki (the President) is named åt Shamèröki (The Governor). The Parliament and Senate are not named “national”, but “regional”. The affairs of ministers are slightly different, for instance, regional governments do not have a Defence ministry. Regional governments do have a ministry of culture, the federal government has not.

Counties

Counties are local governments, they manage the local affairs. Each county elects a mayor. Legislation is passed via referendum.

Political Parties

Party Chairman Ideology Seats in Parliament Seats in Senate
SPS Ekeirma Awisäma The Santinian Party of Sozy, according to its party program stands for "Sozy, Tradition, Liberty". The party is based upon the deceased revolutionary "Santixke åti’Þighberixtæ". In his life, he saw how the government systematically kept areas poor using heavy taxation and laws, he saw how government education would, in one way or another, express an opinion that would always clash with the families of Sozy. The party believes that government should ensure freedom, detain criminals, advocate individualism and its place in a family. Santinianism leans towards capitalizm, but is socially more controlled, not by the law, but the goodwill and traditions of people. Hence, it gets a lot of support from local communities where the "community spirit" is high.

The Santinian Party is against censorship, the death penalty. But supports recently much-debated subjects like euthanasia, aboriton, equal rights for homosexuals and the freedom/legalisation of recreational products.

500 45
CLPS Þëer Mura The Classic Liberal Party of Sozy is a very stable party, it barely changes its viewpoints. And accuses its coalition partner, the Santinian Party of Sozy to be too emotional and populist. The Classic Liberal party is particularly popular amongst the moderate-conservative upper class and intellectuals. It is generally against government intervention in social adn economic life. 200 25
SGP Mątœlcrusck Ķuǐmb’a The Sozian Green Party is the voice of Sozy's environmentalists. It broke apart from the The Sozian Pagan Party, and went into a Social Democratic direction. It believes that through education of the masses and through regulation of life, humans and nature can adapt to each other. Their party has significant support amongst the Dreje peoples, who claim they do not benefit of industrialisation. It lost its support in the country because the farmers dislike extreme regulations and many people simply believe they are against Sozian individualism. In the country, people refer to them as "green commies from the immoral lands". On Social issues, they do not fundamentally differ from the liberalist parties, only they believe enlightenment does not come from individual initiative, but collective taxation. 25 3
SNLP Kloasix Vrümda The Sozian New Liberal Party is a very centrist party, it grew out of both leftist and liberal splinter groups. Its key issues are education and liberty, that said, they believe the government should generally not interfere in how people form themselves, and should never break the classic human rights. But if a situation occurs where many people cannot excercise their freedom, the government should step in. They have great support in the big cities, and a relatively well represented in the senate. 75 10
SIP Fejia Leninisk The Socialist International Party is made up out of post-communist groups. They are not extremely popular. Their radical ideas about pacifism and solidarity are not generally seen as disturbing. But their views on the economy are. They openly advocate issues Sozians generally don't, high taxation (instead of charity and individual initiative), equality (instead of equal values), state planning of economy and life (instead of free market economy and a commercial housing sector). The "red disease" is a popular word for people who vote Socialist in their young years and do otherwise later in their life. Communism kept Sozy in an authoritarian grip before, over which two civil wars were fought out. 10 1
SHP Sozy’jäavirii The Sozian Honour Party is feared or favoured. They do not really have a party program. “Their issues are the people”, the party is extremely Nationalist. It is moderate on economic issues, but believes social life should be exactly formed to the Sozian tradition. Unlike many Nationalist groups around the world the Sozian Honour Party is not against emancipation, abortion or euthanasia. They do believe that Sozy should return to its pure form. The say they are not racist, but they want to exclude other ethnic groups from political and economic life in Sozy by giving independence to “unSozian areas”, like Dreje Sozy and Vrancian Sozy. They do believe in the death penalty, also for common criminals. They also believe in a strict immigration policy. They believe the environment should be better protected and believe that destroyers of the environment should be hung. The Sozian Honour Party keeps its yearly march in Caput Mundi, where they show respect to fallen comrades in the stuggle against both Communism and Libertarianism. Their main support is in the country though, and growing amongst the Sozian youth. 100 10
SPP Vurickxé Türamkg The Sozian Pagan Party also doesn’t have a party program. Our party are the stories for the bible, by the people, over the people. This refers to the Pagan myths. They are generally moderate on economic issues, moderate on social issues, with some ideas about Sozian brotherhood. They believe secularisation of the government is dangerous. And they believe modern society is becoming too immoral. They are notoriously anti-Communist and respect the current Liberalist coalition. It does have a lot more voters than just the members of the Sozian Pagan Religion. It is generally popular in conservative areas. 35 6
SNWP Sophia Bersii The Sozian New Politics Party is a popular party. Disliked by many Sozians, as it is often seen as a voice speaker for asocials and stupid masses. The movement is really go-with-the-flow. Their stances are unbalanced and much depending on current opinions. 55 0

Sozian Culture (to be imporved)

Main article: Sozian Culture It must be noted that Sozy is a large country with various of ethnic groups, but the Sozians form a great majority. How to handle when you spot a Sozian? You need to understand a part of the behaviour of Sozians before talking to any of them. Sozians often struck foreigners as somewhat rude and uncompassionate, but one must know the society Sozians live in before they can make such a judgement.

A mentality

A friendship with a Sozian:, Sozians often seem to foreigners as closed-minded and diseased by various of mental disorders. Sozians are reserved when it comes to talking to strangers. In the Sozian society there’s a “perfection image” how a perfect Sozian should work on both his mental and physical capabilities, this cause them difficulties to have “ordinary talks” especially with people they do not know. A familiar relationship with Sozians is therefore seem as difficult, but finally it is worth it. Sozians are extremely loyal to their friends, this is part of an ages old philosophy of loyalty, if you’re finally a good friend of a Sozian, you will soon be accepted by his or her (usually small) group of friends as well. Sozians are not actually rude and unemotional, but they do not feel that showing that to others they do not know is normal. Direct reserve people?, yes, Sozians are known to be very direct, another part of their culture, lying is seen as a terrible shame, really terrible. If you seriously ask Sozians on their personal views, they will give them, but they may not always consider the effects of replying negatively…

Egalitarian and Emancipated: , As said before Sozians strive for a “perfection image”, which has nothing to do with looking like the people in cosmetic commercials. Egalitarianism in Sozy is different from what you may expect, this “perfection image” is what they see as normal, one is expected to be sophisticated, intelligent, loyal, respectful, culturally aware and well taken care off. They have problems accepting sub-cultures and anyone that does not strive for the “perfection image”. Even though there are a lot of economical gaps in Sozy, socially they want the society to be egalitarian. They address their bosses with his/her first name. People that try to distinguish themselves as socially different (better) aren’t really liked. Sozians generally hate asocials and “nobles” on the other side, also extravagant lifestyles are looked at with suspicion. Sozians are very emancipated compared to European cultures, which does explain the little interest of Sozians in both Conservatives and Feminists. Much of the emancipation needed (according to Sozians) in other cultures, is natural in the Sozian culture. There is no speaking of that women would be paid lower salaries or less rights. It is not something they’re bothered with much either, it is just natural for Sozians, like the acceptance of one’s sexual orientation.

Utilitarian, if it is of no use, why have it? Sozian houses are simple and functional, with little decoration. Presents at birthdays are not common, one’s help and loyalty are more appreciated. Sozians like everything to be suited in order to reach perfection, mental and physical sloth are seen as threatening and asocial .The utilitarian nature of Sozians makes it easy for them to find practical solutions, but Sozians hate temporary solutions.

Organized, Sozians live with a clock in their brains. Accuracy, precision and exact time are important. Sozians prefer to do things from A to B, and not A and B through each other. They like to plan, and get really annoyed if someone confuses them in their planning. If you want to become hated by Sozians: disturb them around 6 O clock, which is dinner time (the largest meal is in the beginning of the day, though).

Einzelganger, Sozians are independent, they do not like authority, they prefer to be alone often enough in a day. Sozians would rather spend their life together with their lover isolated on an island than somewhere regulated. They do not like it if people interfere in their lives. Sozians are also very fond of their privacy. They hate regulation or government administration in their families, the average Sozian is more loyal to his family than the government.

Politics, Sozians dislike governments. They believe that people should make their own choices, although they are reserved, and often a bit sceptic about other lifestyles, they will defend the right that one can have those. Governmental authority is a devil’s word for the egalitarian Sozians. Sozians have a sense of responsibility that is often restricted to their family or friends, proud of their country but not of its people. Sozians hate fascists, and do not pretend to be one, the peaceful nature of Sozians may change into an aggressive nature if you start about fascism.

Traditions and National Celebrations

Many of Sozy's tradition go back to the first peoples in Sozy. They left their mark in national history via the feasts still celebrated today. Witnessing some of the nation's greatest feasts is an easy and joyful way to discover the traditions and culture(s) of Sozy.

Sozy is home to many festivals and feasts, for centuries, the same feasts have been celebrated. One must realise that Sozy isn't the nation of one ethnic group, but multiple ones. And a lot of local feasts occur, though not registered as "National Celebrations" such feasts are extremely popular back in the communities. The Sozian pagan religion had some major impacts on National Celebrations, but feasts that once were rituals are now often massive parties and parades, with a lot of drinking and joy. But the traditions are still fresh in the memory and actions of the ones that attend the feasts. Click on the table's title to go to the main article on Sozian Celebrations.

Religion

Religion is of much “hidden” importance to the people in Sozy. Sozy does not have a place of worship in every village, not even in every city. On the surface, the Sozian society looks extremely atheistic. It is true that the government takes a neutral (secular) stance in religion, but most of the people do not. Within the homes of millions of families in Sozy, various of religions are of great importance. But it is not a typical Sozian tradition to assemble regularly to practise religion. Rather, it is believed everyone should work on religion as an individual, and be inspired in how they handle others.

Sozian Pagan Religion
