The Spectrum Security Council (or SSC) is the formal name of a few select nations within the Spectrum that meet to discuss threats, both internal and external, along with any law breaking. In these events, each member of the council votes on what they think should be done to solve the problem and depending on the outcome, appropriate actions can be taken. The council consists of:

The council itself is chaired by the founding nation, The Shiny Consumerocracy of I Know Better Than You, however the chair does not have a vote in the proceedings.

Trivia

The Council was formed from the original four nations and the first two UN Delegates. This choice caused controversy, with the fifth nation, The Dictatorship of Nintenduu 64 feeling that it was robbed of its place by the younger nations of Enthalpy Change and White Rose. However, by this point, delicate information and high security documents from each of the nations had been shared between the members of the council as an act of trust, and it was therefore deemed to be in the best interests of the Spectrum that the current members remain permanent.

New Age Alliance

The New Age Alliance declared its adversity to the SSC shortly after its inception. Chekgakistonia made a statement that 'the members of the SSC foolishly believe that because they have the elder nations they are the wiser'. It was then pointed out that, at the time of its creation, the SCC contained most of the residing nation in The Spectrum, and not when there was a larger choice of candidates.
