Super-power is a future-tech nation of the Libertarian region.
Government
Super-power's government is a semi-Federal system where power is shared between state and Federal authorities, and currently leans towards state sovereignty. Based off of libertarian principles, the Federal government holds the responsibility of defence, foregin policy, and maintenance of inter-state infrastructure.
The Federal government is divided between a lawmaking branch, an executive branch, and judicial interpreters. Said judiciaries maintain strict constructionism of Super-power's Constitution. Super-power boasts both extremely small state and Federal governments of about 1 official per 3000 citizens.
Military
There are four brances of Super-power's military: Army, Navy, Air Force, and Spacial.
Super-power's army, air force, and spacial military uses advanced weapons known mobile suits, 45-meter tall robotic technology equipped with various beam and bullet weapons. The four current mass-produced MS types are the Gundam© MBF-M1 Astray, M1a Astray, MVF-M11C Gundam© Murasame, and the LM312V04 Victory Gundam©
The M1 Astray was the nation's first mobile suit, deployed during the Super-power Revolutionary War. Its armaments consist of one beam rifle, two beam sabers stored in shoulder recharge racks, two head-mounted vulcans, a shield, and it utilizes a flight pack for added ground maneuverability. From this design came the M1a Astray, which features an improved flight pack and sniper beam rifle. It is deployed solely as part of the Orbital Fleet to protect the space colonies.
The Murasame is a transformable Gundam© model which the Air Force and Navy use. In its transformed state of a mobile armor, it is a fighter jet capable of dogfighting. It has the additional weaponry of six total vulcans, and a beam gun operable in mobile armor mode.
The Victory Gundam utilizes two more important pieces of technology - a panoramic cockpit, and a beam shield, only penetrable by the highest-calibre beam weaponry. Its production began when 'Project Victory' was announced, a plan to diversify Super-power's military force.
History
In the year Universal Century 0079, the citizens of Superpower07 became unhappy with their government, which was growing bigger and bigger by the year. And compounding this situation was the United Nations, which was forcing its corrupt socialist agenda on the country, and was depriving the nation of its soveriegnty.
Refusing to stay idle and watch, the citizens demanded that Superpower07 leave the UN and undo the socialism that was forced onto the country. However the government refused to comply. As a result, the Western half of Superpower07 seceeded to form Super-power.
Unfortunately, Superpower07 still maintained strict control over the military. But the defecting scientists brought with them the plans for victory with the mobile suit.
With the M1 Astray's mass production, the Super-power Revolutionary War began. Even with this new technology, Super-power was still far outnumbered. As a result, the League Militaire©, the resistance force, adopted a hit-and-run strategy and pushing to maintain control of high ground.
With these tactics, Super-power won its war for independance and became a recognized, soveriegn libertarian nation. In its founding, the lawmakers agreed not to make the same grevious mistake of joining the UN and compromising soveriegnty.
