I'm honestly puzzled why this bothers you, Syskeyia. What possible harm does it do to your or your nation if a player uses his own family name in his own backstory? I've got Smiths in my family tree - are you going to jump down my throat if Frisbeeteria praises a Smith? What if I said my surname was Edison, or Holmes, or Eastwood? No. The problem is, you didn't just have a prime minister bear you're surname, but then have your family have this great big important ancestor who did all these great things and laid the foundation for freedom and democracy blah blah blah. It's not that you inserted yourself [...] the OMG GREAT STATESMEN VOGELS, well, that's a bit much. (Know what a Mary Sue is?)

As for Vogels, Lavenrunzian Knootoss, the "Stewards" et al, there's two main theories going around about all that: 1) A big conspiracy to hide the fact that Roald Vogels led a secularist-republican revolution and killed the royal family of The Netherlands and a big history has been concoted to hide it all up, or 2) Some fractal multi-universe interaction thingy. ;) ~Συσκευηα
