The Texas Regional Map is the largest undertaking in the history of The Region of Texas. The Texas Map is where the nations of Texas fix their geographical locations. These maps can be personalized to whatever level you choose. The Texas maps, due to the amount of nations in Texas, were made so that there were two maps of Texas. The first is simply called "Texas" and the second is called "Texas Prime". These Texas maps were subdivided into regions that correspond with the terrain of Texas in real life. The Texas Regional Map, created and maintained by PAX HEARTLANDIA, is one of, if not the, largest undertaking in the history of Texas.

History

Once upon a time in a world far far away, there was an island, this Island was known to the locals as Texas, it was divided into 117 parcels of land in some ancient ritual long since forgotten with the passing of each generation.

Then suddenly there was a violent earthquake which lasted a long time (according to some sources, several months whilst 2 people slaved away in the background), and when everything had settled down again, it was discovered that a second island identical to the Texas island (but inverted) had risen from the seabed.

There was much excitement at this discovery, a meeting of the greatest and most glorious of nations was called for, NewTexas (Big Tex) and PAX HEARTLANDIA (BubbaPAX) attended this historic meeting and below is a transcript of the said meeting (As transcribed by Lilly Loo Flores).

LLF: "Howdy Padrino Big Tex y PAX, I have pen and notepad, so y'all just chat away" Big Tex: "Howdy PAX, Lilly!" PAX: "Felicitaciones fellow Texan folk"

Big Tex: "So PAX I figure you seen that new Island over there" (Points SE wards) PAX: "Reckon I did see sommit yep"

Big Tex: "Good, so Im thinking we claim the land for Texas and Texans everywhere, sound good?" PAX: "Erm, sure ok"

Big Tex: "Durn Tootin idea I thought, now we just need to name it and divide the land up for Texans" PAX: "Erm sure ok"

Big Tex: "So we need to do a full land survey, a census of the region to get ideas for names and stuff, and decide on a fair an equal division of the land" PAX: "Well we could, I suppose"

Big Tex: "You suppose, you have a better suggestion?" PAX: "Well we could do all that, or.."

Big Tex: "Yes?" PAX: "Or we could just call it Texas Prime and do the same boundries as Texas, but inverted"

Big Tex: "WHAT!!!!" PAX: "Well its quicker, easier, cheaper and gives us time to go get some Taco's and beer"

Big Tex: "Hhmmm, Sounds like the Texan way" PAX: "I thought so too"

  • Big Tex cuts a red and blue ribbon (Which he just happened to be carrying along with some scissors)

Big Tex: "The Texas Land Grab is now on..." PAX: "Cool, you buying the Taco's? cause I only brought Euros with me"

Big Tex: "Lilly!, be sure and write up a proper transcript of this meeting when we get home, wont you?" LLF:"Duh, Big Tex, of course!"
