The Soviet Union is EU's largest and most populated nation, as well as an economic and military superpower. The Soviet Union maintains a peaceful foreign policy, but is fierce when it comes to aiding allies in wars.

History

The country's history is slightly different from the real-life's USSR. In 1991, a civil war erupted between nationalists and communists. The war came at its height when Mikhail Gorbachev resigned in December 1991 and the Soviet Flag got down from the Kremlin in 1992.

The, a military coalition among the most loyal communist generals of the country was formed, and managed to march from Omsk to Moscow, recapturing it in May 1992. Gorbachev was temporarily restored in power until August, when Presidential and Governmental elections took place. In those elections Marshal Manos Nikolopoulos, war hero from the civil war, became President with 59% of the people's support. In 1994 he was named President for Life after a poll was set up by the premier.

Armed Forces

The Soviet Armed Forces are some of the most numerous worldwide, and cover 1.99% of the Soviet Population. There are a total of 31.6 million troops, and are distributed as following:

  • 10.0 million are in the Army
  • 7.5 million are in the Navy
  • 3.2 million are in the Air Defense
  • 2.5 million are in the Black Guard
  • 2.3 million are in the Air Force
  • 2.0 million are in the Space Force
  • 1.1 million are in the KGB
  • 900 thousand are in the MVD
  • 500 thousand are in the Kremlin Guard

The country also has 210,000 nuclear warheads, with a minimum of 80 Megaton power, and more than 1.5 million strategic missiles.

Alliances

USSR is allied to Yugoslavia, Mongolia and Germany, and is a member of the European Treaty of Friendship, Collaboration, and Mutual Assistance (Europact), and the United Independant Allied Nations (UIAN).

Enemies

Enemies and rivals include the United States, Morocco, Algeria, Iran, the terrorist groups S.P.I.T.E. and G.L.A., and until recently Ulrichland and Great Britain.

The Soviet government is preparing for massive total war in case it gets invaded by "insane neighbors" like a few weeks ago in the Korean Border.
