The Consortium of Shadows

The Consortium of Shadows was founded by the Grand Imperium of Risban a few hundred years ago. It once held a great many nations. However, the following nations were either conquered by or joined the Grand Imperium of Risban: Vexus, Camos, Wandersleben, Pelamor, Tanzanasty, Tomnaboley, Hopus Island, and Slade Craven. Now the only independent nations outside of Risban are the Dictatorship of Zeitz, the Dictatorship of Fat Flan, the Soverign republic of Willink, the Trinary Empire of Green Sun.

The Consortium of Shadows is an economically powerful region, with Risban leading the way. Zeitz and Fat Flan have both pledged allegiance to the Grand Imperium, while Sodalitas de Umbras is relatively non-interactive with the others. While political freedoms are very hard to come by in the region, civil rights are decent and, as previously stated, the economies are fighteningly powerful.

Geography

The Consortium of Shadows is roughly the size of Eurasia (Europe and Asia, for those of you who don't know). It is largely an island region, with Risban ruling most of the waves. There are still many unsettled and unexplored islands, as well as many unsettled continental lands, primarily around forests and mountains.

The region contains the Umbra Sea, which is about the size of the Mediterranean Sea. Risban owns much of the Northwestern border of the sea and many of the islands in the sea. It owns a territory on the southern border called Pelamor and a small, small territory on the east called Slade Craven.

There are tons of islands, large and small, two about the size of Australia with several nations on them.

Green Sun is the second largest, and second most powerful in the region. It is a very large Penninsula that extends into the ocean. Offshore there is a large island about the size of New York state. Risban has a powerful military force currently stationed in Green Sun, but a civil war may change the face of the region forever...

Willink is a massive island the size of South America off the southern coast of Risban, along with a large chain of islands each around the size of the united kingdom off the Eastern coast. Willink maintains very good relations with Risban and Green Sun

History

In the 1800s, the Grand Imperium of Risban become increasingly imperialistic and set out to conquer and/or settle much of the large region...

In the 1960s, thhe booming anarchaic penninsula founded its government, Green Sun by Earnest Equanant (1952-) and Yolan Kort (1945-2005). It is currently in a state of civil war that is starting to wind down, but it seems a neighboring region hass become intersted in the civil war. The Royal Family hopes to extend our power deeper into the continent to ensure our place in the world.

Foreign Affairs

The United Nations Delegate of the Consortium of Shadows is the Grand Imperium of Risban, with Ambrose Pipin Marcellus serving as the representative. As of April, 2005, only two nations in the region were part of the United Nations: Zeitz and Risban. But in May 2005, Green Sun and Hamanistan joined the UN in the Consortium, but due to a new resolution, Green Sun may be evicted if teh time comes for them to disobey teh law. The psychotic dictatorship known as Fat Flan is refusing to obey United Nations laws, and Sodalitas de Umbras prefers to be isolated from everything else.
