The Empire of The Federated Stars
The Empire's History
The Empire of The Federated Stars was founded in 2100 by Stars Imperius, when he negotiated a mutual defense and assistance agreement, known as the Stars Pact, with 40 nearby star systems. Stars became the Federation's first Arch-Emperor and New Avalon its capital. A member of the Imperius family has led the Federated Stars in unbroken succession for the past 350 years. Presently on the throne is His Imperial Majesty The Seventeenth Arch-Emperor Michael Stars Imperius The First Of The Federated Stars Empire and by his side are his 3 wives, Her Imperial Majesty The Imperial-Empresses Hoshi Imperius, Emma Imperius and Tila Imperius Of The Federated Stars Empire and there 9 children.
Arch-Emperor Michael Stars Imperius is the son to the Arch-Emperor Hanse Imperius and Imperial-Empress Melissa Imperius, who where killed saving there only son, when The Westminster Imperial Crown Palace was attacked by a rouge force commanded by Arch-Duke Stephen Damion, the Leader of House Damion and Hanse's only brother, all happening on Michael's 16th birthday. Seeing his people being killed, Michael launched a civil war to save them and reclaim his birthright. After the war Michael was crowned The Seventeenth Arch-Emperor Of The Federated Stars Empire. Even though its a Constitutional Hereditary Monarch ruled by an Emperor or Empress, the people elect MP's for representation in Imperial Parliament of the Federated Stars, they help the Emperor or Empress and work to determine if a Crown Prince or Princess should have the title of Emperor or Empress and if not, a new heir is picked, because the Emperor or Empress must work for the people and be trusted by them. Michael is a great leader, who cares about his people while the people and his soilders love and worship him.
Politics of the Federated Stars
The Federated Stars can best be described as a monarchy, albeit one with constitutional limits placed on the monarchy itself. The Arch-Emperor is the leader of the Federated Stars and is the commander in chief of the Armed Forces of the Federated Stars, or AFFS. The Privy Council is a grouping of the highest advisors to the Arch-Emperor and is extremely important in the running of the day-to-day affairs of the state. The Nobility of the Federated Stars, created during the reign of the first Arch-Emperor Stars Imperius, also hold positions of authority, but The Federated Stars has a weaker nobility than some realms. The citizens of the realm also have several rights, which include freedom of speech and freedom of religion, and the ability to appeal to the central government in order to have upopular or destruction noblemen removed from office.
Federated Stars Military
The Federated Stars possessed arguably the one of the most powerful military ever. The Leadership of House Imperius has always been committed to the military of their realm and nearly every Imperius is required to serve in the armed forces unless prevented for some reason. The Armed Forces of the Federated Stars, allso knowing as the Stars Military, is the largest ever.

Imperius Division of Guards
The Imperius Division of Guards are the descendants of the personal bodyguard that was created to defend the first Arch-Emperor Star Imperius of the Federated Stars. Over time the Division emerged into a modern military unit and was eventually integrated into the AFFS. Today it serves as the elite of the Stars military. The Division consists of six regular and four specialized units, the Imperius Light Guard for rapid attacks, the Imperius Heavy Guard made up mostly of Heavy Mechs and combat units and the Imperius Assault Guard made up nearly entirely of Assault Mechs and the Imperius Brigade Imperial Home Guards, and they guard Imperius City, and it's the most senior regiment
