Law Enforcement
Domestic law enforcement is performed by the Hoth Manufacturing Internal Investigative Department. Peace officers use tazers to incapacitate criminals, but carry tear gas canisters, fragmentation grenades, and M-4 carbines. Almost all ride modified Segway HT/HM transporters, built like normal Segways, except with a heavy-duty titanium alloy frame and speed modifications allowing them to travel up to 25 miles per hour. Some patrol units and assault teams also use Segway Centaur/HM transporters, again with a titanium frame but sporting speeds up to 50 miles per hour.
Military
The Hoth Manufacturing Corporation maintains a standing military to defend itself, deal with threats, and enforce payments to uncooperative buyers. This military is ordered into a number of divisions.
