Founded by a complete psycopath, an incorperated area of Earth was taken over in a violent coup, control being taken away from violent warlords and gangs by one person, identifying him/herself as Prototype. This day, Oct. 21, became immortalized as the Day of Blood and Bullets by the new population of the Kingdom. Where as before nearly two dozen warlords and gang leaders controlled the area, this Prototype killed them all, including any nearby bodyguards, leaving a trail of bodies, blood, and bullets across the region. Afterwards he/she set up a base of operations in the largest city, promptly renamed it "The City of Ami", hired a political cabinet(in some cases at gunpoint), and generally proceeded to let the entire region know who was in control now.

Elections have been outright eliminated, drug laws stricken from the books, and the death penalty reinstated for severe crimes, such as murder. Despite the way it may sound, the population of the Kingdom enjoy personal freedoms most people in the world never will. Most laws fall under three "edicts", which is cause for the personal freedom.

Edict #1

A citizen of the Kingdom, and hence a child of Ami, has the right to say and/or do whatever they wish, as long as their speech and/or actions does not infringe on another citizen's right to say and/or do whatever they wish, or has the potental to cause physical harm to another citizen.

Prototype's note on Edict #1

"In other words, you can do whatever you want, but if you do something stupid, like yell 'FIRE!' in a crowded theater, or decide to play in traffic, or steal from someone, or rape someone, don't go cryin to the cops when someone beats you senseless with a sack of oranges."

Edict #2

All children of Ami have the right to bear arms of any type, but killing in anything other than defense of self, or another child of Ami is illegal, and will result in execution. Using a weapon to commit a crime will result in that citizen's right to bear arms being revoked, and a longer prison sentance.

Prototype's note on Edict #2

"Basicly, its ok to have a weapon. Using the weapon to commit crimes is not ok."

Edict #3

All children of Ami own their own bodies, and are allowed to do whatever they wish with them.

Prototype's note on Edict #3

"To put it simply, you can tattoo, pierce, drug, modify, add to, or subtract from, your body in any way you wish. Its your body, and your life. This I also believe extends to clothing, which is why there are no uniform rules at any school, for law enforcement, or military. Each soldier chooses to wear that helmet to protect themselves, not because they are required to, notice different soldiers have made their own modifications and paint jobs to them, and some choose not to wear them at all. No corperation, company, private school, or any other group is allowed to require uniforms, or any sort of dress code, for that is in violation of Edict #3."

Also worthy of notice is the religion Prototype has founded, known as the Church of Ami. Being a large charity organization devoted to the God refered to as Ami, it follows the edicts to the letter, as well as gives more money, food, and clothing to the needy than both the Red Cross and Salvation Army combined. All followers are also trained in hand-to-hand combat. This makes the Church of Ami like a cross between a Shaolin Monestary and a Catholic Catherderal.

Crime gets lower and lower every year, due to the high amount of taxpayer dollars spent on education of all stripes, including free college. Education, Health Care, Military, and Law and Order get almost all the funds in the yearly budget. Thanks to various laws and regulations, the enviroment of The Nation of Ami is stunning and pristine. Personal freedoms are sacrosanct, the economy gets stronger with each passing day, and yet Political freedoms are all but outlawed. While the public is allowed to say whatever they want about the government, to the point that anti-government radio shows and TV shows are receiving top ratings, Prototype appears to have no intentions about giving up power.

Seeing as how he took power in the first place, no one is willing to openly challenge him either.
