The Noean Frontier

The early years

The Noean Frontier was founded in early 2006 as a region for members of NOE (Nintendo of Europe), by Doormattian. Although no records survive of these early days, the original members were: Doormattian, Sheltectain, Boodoom, Vilicia, Rotting Fire, The Phantom C and one or two other nations whose names have been lost.

During a short time after it was founded, the region was quite successful, but soon many nations, including the founder, Doormattian, became inactive and before long, ceased to exist.

During this time there was the Noean Communist Revolution. Influenced by the communist regime in Boodoom, rebels in Sheltectain seized power, and declared the start of a region wide communist revolution. Although the revolution enjoyed early successes, it was opposed by Rotting Fire, and it soon ended, with the newly founded communist regimes losing power, leaving Boodoom as the only communist nation in the region.

The dark ages

In the time after the failed revolution, the region began to stagnate. Although some nations moved in to the region, such as Hyrule and ninty, All Englanders and Neelam, many left again, or became inactive themselves.

However, not all activity ceased. It was during this time that Sheltectain became the region's first UN Delegate, after successful negotiations with Vilicia and Hyrule and ninty.

The Noean renaissance

After becoming delegate, Sheltectain led a campaign to try and revitalise the region. As a result of Sheltectain's actions, many nations from another forum, NVIP Netbattle Board, joined the region. The new nations were Sheeperiveness, Obscuratio, Place Land, and Noitaixyphsa. As a result of the new activity, Sheltectain declared that the nations in the frontier would now have fixed borders, and a map of the region was procuced for the first time.

However, soon after the map was produced, more nations joined, and there were soon fierce debates as to who owned which land.

Troubled times

Following the founding of several new countries on territory which had previously belonged to other nations, disputes quickly arose, the most prominent one being the issue of Darkaeia, which demanded that land be given to it from neighbouring Boodoom. Boodoom, already angry at Darkaeia being founded on Boodoom territory, Boodoom announced that it would start a region wide war if any more of its territory was taken away. Although Sheltectain announced that there would be no territory changes, many of the smaller nations rebelled, and in last minute negotiations chaired by Obscuratio, Boodoom lost land to Darkaeia, creating an area that would be known as the Darkaeian Corridor. Also, in the south, anotrher dispute over territory resulted in Sheepereeviness losing a large area of land. As a result of these incindents, Sheltectain's authority was seriously undermined. It also led to Obscuratio becoming more influential in the region.

The region after the troubled times

The quiet years

Following the chaos of the troubled times, things began to quieten down in the region. However, that's not to say that nothing happened in the region. Because during this time there huge tectonic activity in the south east of the region, and a new land mass was created. Also, during this time, several new nations joined the region, but this time there was little objection when the new nations were allocated land. Finally, during this time, Sheltectain resigned as delegate of the region in mysterious circumstances. Although the immediate replacement was Hyrule and ninty, a few days later, Vilicia was elected as delegate.

The meteorite disaster

Soon after Jebusdom Island joined the region, scientists became alerted to the fact that there was a large asteroid set to collide with the region. Amind large scale panic, the region's governments united and, in a mirculous feat that would go down in history, they organised the complete evacuation of the entire region. After the disaster, the shape of the region had changed considerably, and Sheltectain, despite no longer being delegate, was given the task of redistributing the altered land. The result can be seen below.

The modern age

Since the meteorite disaster, several nations have ceased to exist, while several more have joined the region. There have also been many changes to the political landscape, with Boodoom be temporarily occupied by the Sheltectain army, Obscuratio overtthrowing Vilicia as delegate, repeatedly violent confrontations between Obscuratio and Sheltectain, and, most recently, a power struggle after Sheepereeviness overthrew Obscuratio as delegate, but failed to get a majority vote. Sheeperiveness remained delegate for a week, until he lost an endorsement. Place Land became a surprise delegate for a day, but Obscuratio has since taken over once more.
