Obscuratio's rise to power
When Obscuratio started out it was a small nation with little influence. However, this quickly turned as its Psychotic Dictator began to experiment with new means of "pursuasion". Brainwash techniques are known to be widely used but Opacus Operatives. Other increases to its influence came in the form of assisting to map out the region and also playing host to the infamous Darkeia Corridor treaty.
The Current Poilitical Situation
As a mark to Obscuratio's growing influence it gained the position of UN Delegate, and leader of The Noean Frontier. Then, unfortuantly, the region was put under the it-really-wasn't-tyranical regime of Sheeperiveness, who had managed to trick his way into the Delegate position. Fortunatly for the people of Obscuratio (and Sheltectain, see below) his rule was toppled by the work of the good nations Noitaixyphsa and Jebusdom Island and Obscuratio was returned to control.
Not long before those events Obscuratio and Sheltectain, the neibouring nation, were on the brink of war. With Sheltectain retaliating against an outburst of Goverment funded, non-endoresed thefts around Sheltectain's northern borders. As a result a blockade of ships from Sheltectain's navy was formed around Obscuratio in order to prevent trade. Meanwhile Obscuratio prepared its 3 Space Laser systems for attack. A communications block from Sheltectain's so-called "commercial" satallite systems soon put a stop to their use though. Meanwhile Obscuratio was still heavily defended thanks to various natuaral phenomina, such as the mysterious but deadly mist of Psyland. Also the deadly military controlled lighthouses that made up Cape Nostalgia prevented sea invasion that way and the Trident of Hope, a massive Fortress capable of defending against almost any conceivable attack, prevented the Mainland area of Obscuratio from being taken. All out war was prevented however, by Sheeperiveness's rise to delgateship. An enraged Obscuratio turned its eye onto the Sheepdom nation. Meanwhile, using the Psychic powers that are available to its national animal, communications with the Space Lasers was restored and Sheltectain's "commercial" satalites destroyed. Sheltectain, now suspecting invasion from the south, also withdrew their forces.
