The Tyrannical Territory of Ti Amero is a huge, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its devotion to social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 895 million are either ruled by a small, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Religion & Spirituality, Social Welfare, and Education. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 51%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Book Publishing, Door-to-door Insurance Sales, and Information Technology industries.
Surveillance cameras are banned, all streets are privately owned toll roads, councils up and down the country wrangle over legal matters, and the government has instituted 'traveller reservations' across the country. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Ti Amero's national animal is the Kraken, which is also the nation's favorite main course.
