The Tidani Navy is responsible for Tidan's sovereignty. This national force is under the authority of the Minister of Defense. Under its command are the Air Command, Marine Command, Maritime Command, and Fleet Command. The Navy is a priority for Tidan and receive the second most funding. They are kept equiped with state-of-the-art equipment and receive world class training. All citizens are required to serve in the Navy for at least two years, in the branch of their choosing. If demand is too uneven the recruits will be spread around. In the event that citizens are unable to serve, they are encouraged to serve in logistics. Manditory service bolsters the Navy, enstils pride and patriotism, and teaches descipline.

Tremor Cannon

A type of Sudden Impact Beam Cannon, while most beam cannons dispense their deadly payload in a continuous column of destruction. The SIBC stores this same level of energy but releases the tremendous amount of energy in a single sublight pulse. The round travels at such a speed that it is considered instantaneous in nature. The truth, however, is that the maximum speed is roughly 1/3 the speed of light. The Tremor Cannon is the Tidani version of other weapons like the Yamato Cannon.

Razor Beam Cannon

The Razor Beam Cannon fires a pillar of pure energy, generated by the reactor of the ship, at the enemy. It focuses the beam very tightly to maximize strain to a small area of shielding and cut through thick armor.

Star Burst Cannon

An accelerator cannon that fires the Strong Nuclear Force-weakening mesons, causing the very atoms of the things this weapon hits to simply disintegrate into their component pieces, unleashing terrible amouns of energy in the process. This makes the meson accelerator cannons much more of a threat to enemy ships than similar-sized and powered particle accelerator cannons. Heavy damage against unshielded craft.

Frost Cannon

A tachyon cannon that fires a beam of high energy tachyons, which are small, faster-than-light particles, outwards, towards an enemy. When these particles hit the target ship, which is given no warning at all of the attack due to the FTL nature of the tachyons, they begin to pass through the hull, disrupting electronics as they move through. The only armor that can block tachyons is Neutronium, though shield systems can still block them. The Frost Cannon is used to disable unshielded craft.

Phased Meson Torpedo

Torpedoes that are capable of bypassing enemy shields by simply phasing themselves out of this universe and into another one until they are past the shield systems. This means that shields can be completely ignored using these torpedoes, making them that much more effective. The warheads contain a large number of mesons and a large piece of mass, usually a dense metal. Once the warhead is triggered, the mesons flow into the metal, causing it to break down into its component parts while creating a gigantic explosion, much more powerful than what a fusion warhead could do. Due to Meson Sequencers, these devices are relatively cheap, even when compared to nuclear weapons.

Point-Defense Beam Cannons

A system of beam turrets that fire at enemy strikecraft close to the ship.

Gravity Shield

The Gravity Shield uses the gravity manipulation of the Gravimetric Drives to create a defensive shield around the ship. This shield is very effective against conventional weapons, and to lesser extent against energy weapons. By distorting gravity around the ship energy and matter weapons can be effectively refracted around the ship.

This is a multi-dimensional shield that makes it impossible for phased weapons to pass through it. These shields are the only shield types that can stop phased projectiles. These shields are affected by anti-shield weaponry normally, while their recharge rate is slower than normal.

Phase Shield

Phase shields work by phasing whatever hits it out of this continuum, making it so that projectiles that hit the shield do not hit the hull. Shields like this use up the same amount of energy regardless of how powerful the attack is, as they are continuously on. This means that the shield effectively has a time limit as to how long it can stay up, and after that it needs to be recharged, while no matter how powerful of an attack hits the shield, it will not take the shield down. Anti-shield devices, however, work fine against these shields.

Froxfire Flares

Cloak penetration and detection system. A torpedo flare armed with a froxfire warhead launches and detonates. The detonation is a luminescent reaction that lights up the surrounding space while flooding the region of space with particles including tachyons and neutrinos. Sensors can then scan for the particles interacting with cloaked ships and pockets of space devoid of the particles indicating a cloak that protects against tachyon and neutrino sensors. This increases the detection rate over tachyon and neutrino scanners.

Collapsed-Core Molybdenum Alloy Armor

This alloy is created from crystalline Molybdenum being put under immense stress, causing the crystalline matrix to collapse in upon itself. This makes the alloy extremely strong, while the resulting alignment of Molybdenum atoms has the unique property of easily dispersing energy beam weaponry.

Electromagnetic Dispersion Coating

This form of armor coating makes it so that any electromagnetic wave that hits it breaks apart and heads for the stars, away from that which sent it. This makes it so that the ship is virtually invisible to RADAR and LADAR arrays, along with any other electromagnetic scanners. It also makes the ship look odd to the eye, with it still being very visible, but with the hull shape being extremely distorted. This form of coating also serves as anti-laser coating.

Gravity Compensator

The gravity compensator uses anti-gravity generators to counteract the gravitational field of the ship they are installed upon. What this means is that any gravity-based sensors looking for this ship will pass over it, without even a clue as to its presence.

Propulsion Systems

Gravimetric Drives

Gravimetric Drives are Engines that manipulate zero point energy and superstrings to provide propulsion, produce gravity, and negate inertia.

Meson Torch Drive

This drive uses a meson reactor to heat up the plasma exhaust high above the normal means provided by a fusion torch drive, meaning it gives off a much higher thrust per pound of fuel than the fusion torch drive. It is even more powerful than the Fusion Pulse Drive.

Cavitation Drive

This drive surrounds the ship using it with a bubble of Hyperspace, allowing the ship to stay in Normal Space while moving at faster than light speeds and making extremely quick maneuvers.

Dimensional Transition Generator

Creates a rift large enough for the ship to travel from its current dimensional plane to another including hyperspace.

Communication

Quantum Communicator

Quantum communicators are created by the bond between two separate atoms. This bond makes it so that when one quality of one atom changes, the same quality changes in the other atom. By having a few dozen of these atoms put together, a direct and instantaneous radio emerges. These quantum communicators normally connect to large hubs which connect to all of the other quantum communicators so that more than two places can communicate. These communications systems are also almost impossible to jam.

In this case crystals are used to entangle photons that are used to encode and decode the transmitted signal.

Quantum Communications Hub

This is a hub of all of the quantum communicators in the system. By going through this, instant communication to any area is possible. Unfortunately, if the hub is destroyed, the entire system will disconnect. They are usually placed on the most heavily defended ships, stations, and planets.

Power Generators

Meson Reactor

A Meson Reactor uses a form of subatomic particle, called the meson, that interacts with the strong nuclear force of atomic nuclei to break apart this force, releasing extreme amounts of energy. A Meson Sequencer device can be used to easily and cheaply create mesons using almost any matter as fuel, and almost any other matter can be used as the other portion of fuel for the mesons. This makes the Meson Reactor both efficient and very inexpensive.

Life Support

Atmosphere is produced aboard the ship by stimulating engineered bacteria into producing oxygen. All ships hulls include radiation shielding to protect the crew.

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence is used aboard all ships to improve efficiency, reaction time, and reduce crew needed to run the ship. They are given significant control and given a vast capacity for creativity and command. Their personalities are restricted so as to make treason or dereliction of duty theoretically impossible.
