The Honourable Timothy Ell, Prime Minister of Pacitalia (1996-2005). Ell was born on February 3, 1968 in Mandragora, Pacitalia. His father owned many businesses in the city and his mother worked as a nurse at Mandragora General Hospital. Ell was educated at private schools and went on to finish degrees in Law, Political Science and Political Leadership at the University of Mandragora. Ell graduated from the U of M in 1993, and immediately ran for MPP in Mandragora-Southeast in the 1993 general elections, winning the district handily. During his time as MPP his capitalist ideals and his many business connections helped Mandragora secure its place as one of the economic powerhouses of the nation. In 1995, Ell was nominated to run for the leadership of the Capitalist Party and won, taking 61% of the delegates' votes over the other challenger, Marta Poggiatella (MPP, Timiocato-West). In August 1996, new elections were held to replace the retiring Capitalist Party Prime Minister, Francesco Santo Ragazzo. Unfortunately, Santo Ragazzo died one year later of a heart attack. The nation's largest airport in Timiocato is named after him.

The August 10, 1996 general elections were tight at the beginning, but in the end saw Capitalist Party leader Timothy Ell take the victory with 54% of the popular vote and a remarkable 6 of 9 regions, taking 72 of 120 electoral votes (61 needed for a majority). He was re-elected in September 2000 to a smaller but still stable majority, and recently re-elected to a third term on November 3, 2004. However, now former Liberal leader Aracio Partiva challenged the PM election results and a run-off was held on November 23, 2004. Ell handily took that runoff as well, securing his third term into 2008.
