Background

The United Nations Space Consortium (UNSC) was established following the passage of UN Resolution 51, UN Space Consortium, by a vote of 13,191 to 5,426 on Feb 29, 2004 with the goal of unifing the efforts of United Nations members and non-members to explore space. Resolution 51 also authorized the UNSC to establish a permanent UN base on the Moon, in order to facilitate future space exploration.
The UNSC is headed by a Board of Directors. Initially elected from the United Nations membership, subsequent boardroom positions, and vacancies which may arise, are decided by a stockholders vote. Funding for the UNSC is provided for by the sale and trade of stock.
The proceedings of the UNSC are open to the public at the
