:NSwiki policy calls for nationpages to be listed under the short version of the nation name.  I moved your nation to [[Kontrosena]].  Thanks. [[User:Frisbeeteria|&rarr; ''Frisbeeteria'']] [[User talk:Frisbeeteria|&Theta;<small>talk</small>]] 18:28, 15 Oct 2004 (GMT)

I noticed you are trying to adapt the Generic Infobox. If you'd prefer to make your own tables based on the standard templates for Nations and Regions, you can find the code at [[Template:Infobox Nation]] and [[Template:Infobox Region]].  You can't edit them there, but you can copy the code and put it on your own pages, then make all the modifications you want. # <nowiki>http://www.weirdspace.dk/Avalon/Graphics/Nathan%20Ellstings.jpg</nowiki> shows up as a red x on my monitor.  I bet they don't allow cross-linking.  I can navigate to the page just fine and see it, but it only shows up once I've added it to my browser cache.

# The color scheme you've chosen for the GCON infoboxes would be fine on GCON webspace, but it is horribly difficult to read here.  NSwiki isn't a private webspace for displaying your work, it's an encyclopedia of Nationstates stuff for other people to read.  The Infoboxes are provided not just as a simple way to add information, but also to provide a common frame of consistency between nations.

# When you add that huge banner to the top of each page and make the infoboxes all but unreadable, you are defeating the purpose of having them.  If you want to provide a link to GCON webspace with all the HTML bells and whistles, more power to ya!  However, please don't try to turn your various GCON nationpages into little private GCON websites.  That's not what NSwiki is for. There is a reason most commercial websites have dark text on light background - it's more readable.  Some might use white on black, but nobody serious uses red on black.  My advice would be to dump the tables you've built and go back to standard infoboxes.  I'd also advise you to reduce the size of your massive GCON banner down to 200x200 or 300x300 pixels and just include it as a lead element on each GCON page.  That's enough to tie it together as a regional association without making the whole section over into a mini-GCON website.

Also, please get in the habit of using the "Show Preview" function.  Each time you save, the wiki saves an entire backup copy of what you've been working on.  I noticed one page where you made 8 edits but ended right back where you started.  That's eight copies taking up server space that serves no purpose.  I understand that you're trying to find a look that works, but you don't need to save your failures too.

Finally, don't make Factbooks into subcategories of other Factbooks.  If you categorize your pages into Category:Kontrosena and Category:GCON, and then make them subcategories of each other, it gets insanely circular.  Just [[:Category:Factbooks]] is enough. == resizing pictures ==

I don't know of a way to resize in wiki code.  What I was suggesting was the use of a different picture entirely.  Your current pic is called logobig.jpg.  I assumed that was because you had a logosmall.jpg too. :''Yes but that is the flag, If you could help us out, we would appreciate it, we would like if your nation joins GCON.''

You need to resize the pictures on your own computer and find a place to host them. There are some image tips [[NSwiki:Image use policy|here]].  I'm not interested in hosting them for you, so there really isn't that much else I could do to help you. [[OOC]], thanks for the invite, but [[IC]] Frisbeeteria is opposed to everything GCON stands for and would most surely and vehemently decline. Custom infoboxes

When using a template, you need to leave all the fields intact. If you take the "map= |" out of the template, you get the default name for that template. If you leave it in and leave it blank, you get white space. Just put map= | back into the infobox area, and you'll get the effect you seek.

I noticed you are trying to adapt the Generic Infobox. If you'd prefer to make your own tables based on the standard templates for Nations and Regions, you can find the code at Template:Infobox Nation and Template:Infobox Region. You can't edit them there, but you can copy the code and put it on your own pages, then make all the modifications you want. → Fris Θtalk 14:48, 23 Nov 2004 (GMT)
