It's a discussion page, there are no other subjects, and people can figure it out for themselves. There's no need for your to be dictating how other sign their posts since it's not creating any problems.

Revision as of 22:02, 17 October 2004

Thanks for the info. The CACE edits have been reverted and User:24.235.226.13 hasn't counter-reverted them, so I'm not going to really deal with that. However, the Pure Evil situation is a different story. I'm not familiar at all with the situation, so I've made a minor edit (mostly formatting) to the body of the article and slapped an NPOV tag on top. The appropriate place to discuss the specifics of the situation is now Talk:Pure Evil, and I'm confident that a consensus can be reached.

I don't like to block or warn anybody without clear disregard for the policies of NSwiki, so I won't take any sysop-level action at this time - however, I'll monitor the situation. --Goobergunch|? 16:28, 8 Oct 2004 (GMT)

Bit of wiki-lore here - rather than signing documents by putting your name in the Subject block, tag your post with four tildes: - ~~~~. That datestamps it gives your reader a direct link to you and your talk page, like this one => Frisbeeteria 04:46, 10 Oct 2004 (GMT)

Am I allowed to sign it like this? I find it more ... well, it designates one message from another.

Pudding!

The only problem with signing it like that is that it takes people to your (empty) Pudding nationpage, rather than your User:Pudding page. It's less useful. - Frisbeeteria 05:31, 10 Oct 2004 (GMT)

Hey ... look at that. Gotcha. Solved, as you can see above. Pudding!

I find it pretty annoying, though - it creates a new section, and when you're trying to preserve section headings it destroys them. I don't mind bold, but please don't create new section breaks. --Goobergunch|? 23:03, 13 Oct 2004 (GMT)

Why not?

Because it completely destroys the subject structure of the page. == whatever == is supposed to be a subject heading, not a signature. --Goobergunch|? 01:45, 18 Oct 2004 (GMT)
