The Catholic People Republic of Vinr Alfkyn is a massive, safe nation, renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 2.129 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Religion & Spirituality, and Defence. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 33%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Uranium Mining, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Cheese Exports industries.
Every product goes through extensive safety-testing by the government, employers may fire workers without giving any reason, the government regularly hires contractors to construct high rise apartments, and the government has started a campaign to crack down on road rage and encourage alternate means of commuting. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Vinr Alfkyn's national animal is the Elephant, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Ay.

Religion
The state religion is Catholicism, but also tolerated is Protestantism, Orthodox, Sunni and Shiite Islam. The Catholic Church in Vinr Alfkyn, is exempted from paying taxes and financial supported by state. Other believs, especially Buddhism are banned, and is punished as Betrayal State.
