History
Wake Forest was established shortley after landfall by the UN as a base of operations to research Atlantis. Originally, it was known as Atlantisville, but after Atlantis was bought by SEBTS and subsequently named Akinland, the town was renamed Wake Forest. The orignial island that the city is built on was a lush forest, which grew very quickly following the Atlantean rising. It was promptly torn down and urbanized. Currently the seat of the rebuilt Binkley Chapel, it is a place of magnificent beauty, built by the heavy taxes enforced upon its citizenry. After the recent November Revolution and the following regional elections, the island itself was surrounded by Weezyville. Although the situation with Weezyville is tense, they have never decided to blockade the capital, and relations are nominal between Weezyville and SEBTS
