The Theocratic Dictatorship of Zolony is a massive, devout nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.
History
The origins of Zolony are hidden in ancient mysticism and lies. The Zolons themselves believe that they were created by the "Almighty" as the Chosen People. What is known is that the Zolons were a tribe that has existed since at least the time of the First Crusade. They possibly formed from a older group of tribes. They were led by a man known only as the Hu'fievren, who claimed to be a God. There religious texts of Zolony go far deeper into the origin of Zolony, but cannot be treated as an accurate source of information.
