The Kingdom of Portrigh is a huge, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. Its compassionate, intelligent population are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Education. The average income tax rate is 100%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising fourteen-year-old boys selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

'The Anti-Government Hour' is a popular programme on many of Portrigh's radio stations, all guns must be registered, every product goes through extensive safety-testing by the government, and sex offenders find themselves 'cut off' from any ability to repeat their crimes.

Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Portrigh's national animal the Sheep frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Cuillin.

It is made up of five Provinces Portree, Raasay & Rona, Trotternish Peninsula, Dunvegan Peninsula, Central, Soay & Scalpay, Armadale Peninsula.

Portrigh's national animal is the Sheep.

The Kingdom has two main langauges English and Gaelic, which is a derivative of Scots Gaelic. There are several other minor dialects spoken but these tend to be only in small areas where non Portrigians, (Portrigian - someone born in the Kingdom), have settled. These include Irish, Norsemen and various others from the Stornoway region.
