Creation Myth

The Narabbian people were a tribe that was discriminated against in what legend only calls 'the old land' because of their ideological beliefs. They were cannibals and performed a different religion than the other tribes. The tribe worshiped what were called the 'Four Winds'. One day a colossal man (7 feet tall according to legend) who wore animal skins (a mask of a lion, shoes made from bear paws, and a cloak made from the skin of a leopard) and had a course voice came to the oppressed peoples and offered them a new land to call their own. They traveled for 616 days until they found a lush landscape where the first animal they beheld was an 8-headed vulture. The Great Shaman deemed this as a sign and so they settled in that spot (possibly modern day Karaktitus?). The Shaman left shortly after the founding leaving one message of hope to the Narabbian people: (translated from early glyphs) "Goodbye my people, I will return to deliver the world unto you, but beware those who bare the mark of the sun shaped as a 't' and their empire which will bare 10 hands of stars."

History

Early History

Nerobi Narabba was originally founded in the United Welsh Republic on the 18th of December. What first started as an extremely politically free semi-socialist country went through a number of changes to come to the point it is today.

The first semi-remarkable shift in Nerobi Narabba was the breaking off of Untera, Nerobi Narabba’s brother state. Originally both states were as one, but as the population of Nerobi Narabba skyrocketed an ever-growing percentage of the population wished to live in a fully capitalist society instead of the socialist Nerobi Narabba. Untera was formed without any sort of civil war during the 10th year of our great empire.

The Cold War

The largest change was caused by nearby international pressures. A cold war broke out between those countries that were overly power hungry within the region. The rival nations included: South Cymru (deceased), Ogibalidadistan (deceased), Rweth Republic (deceased), Civilized Nations (deceased), Untera (allied), Lemanruss (allied), Edimadra (deceased), and or course Nerobi Narabba. This cold war turned the leaders within Nerobi Narabba away from the citizens and environment to focus primarily on the economy. This can be seen in how soon it became a militaristic dictatorship fuelled by greed alone. If one thing can be said about the many dictators who ruled Nerobi Narabba for years it is this: they never took the civil rights of the population away, if the population went about their business not going against the government they were free to live their lives. During the middle part of the cold war the Nerobi Narabbian armed forces, The Peace Breakers, marched on the undefended capital of Lemanruss and turned it into a puppet state, which has been freed from, recently.

The Beginning of the Depression

The second large change was a depression brought about by the U.N. but more explanation must be given for the cause and effects of this. The United Welsh Republic was, for the greater part of its existence, without an active founder. The first elected delegate, South Cymru, was given no extra regional control for his entire reign. Once the founder, North Wales, released regional control to the U.N. delegate Nerobi Narabba jumped on the occasion and, through bribery and intimidation, took U.N. delegacy literally overnight. Once in power the 'new regional order', as they called themselves took all actions possible to stay in power. They rallied all of the rest of the possible supporters and threatened to eject whoever voted for any opponent to Nerobi Narabba. This power lasted for many NS years before the depression hit. The depression, caused by a U.N. resolution, harmed all of the economies within the U.N. in the region. Most countries whose economies were "Frightening" fell to "All-Consuming", and some fell even more. Though superciliously the Nerobi Narabbian economy remained intact, (it was the only to remain "Frightening") the harm the U.N. caused did more to Nerobi Narabba than it did to any others. Whereas the other countries fell and almost immediately rose to "Frightening" within a few NS years, Nerobi Narabba's GDP per capita never seemed to recover. To compensate for it's lack of wealth Nerobi Narabba poured even more funds into the military, with a 100% tax rate and over 50% of it going into the military, no force within the region dared oppose the battered regional ruler, but soon Nerobi Narabba left the U.N. vowing never to return no matter what power it promised in the region.

The End and Rebirth of the Cold War and the Empire of the New Darkness

Feelings and threats of war cooled down a new region was formed by South Cymru with itself at its head. This new peace didn't last long though, and soon the old supporters of The New Regional Order craved power once more. Under the banner of the Putrescence of Nations the Empire of the New Darkness was founded, created to wipe the opposed region, Cymrukfty (sp?), off of the face of the earth. Cymrukfty soon vanished due to inactivity, The Empire proclaiming victory. During the time in The Empire Nerobi Narabbian officials were trying everything to return the country’s GDPPC to its once glorious state. There were many within the country that claimed that Nerobi Narabba had never had an economy as strong as it was in the past and that the tales of old were nothing more than legend to keep the country intact. A drastically different new dictator, Lartus Augustus, was appointed after the death of his father. Lartus had radically new ideas of how to rebuild the economy and keep the population from rebelling at the same time, libertarianism. Soon the economic and civil freedoms skyrocketed and the tax rate dropped. As he predicted, the economy returned, and surpassed, the economy of old. Though the industries were privatised during the depression in an attempt to fix the economic problems, the industries generally stayed very close to the government. The industries stayed autonomous of themselves, but respected the word the of government. This was beneficial to both parties, especially the government, for in this new age of prosperity some industries became even more powerful than the governing bodies themselves. Eventually the government merged with the industries in that they (the government) were controlled by them (the industries). The new economically, civilly, and politically free Nerobi Narabba is slowly becoming an empire once more, this time one of money rather than might.

Entrace Into Arctic

With The Cold War long over and The Empire breaking off in uncounted territories those still loyal to The Empire broke away from those had become desolate isolationists. The separatist countries soon allianced themselves and joined their closest block of nations; Arctic. From what few historic records survive of the day, it is said that this merging happened on the day a gigantic tittle wave swept across Arctic and nearly destroyed it. Since the merging Nerobi Narabba has remained a fiercely loyal ally to Arctic and the Prussiatopia Empire. Arctic has also seen the birth of two new and separate nations birthed from The Empire; Ohrder and Mammnon.

Government Style

The Nerobi Narabbian government is one that is both highly small, and highly effective. Nerobi Narabba is an ultra capitalist and ultra-democracy state, but unlike most countries, Nerobi Narabbian officials are voted in completely sperate from one-another and there are no parties. Each man, woman, or gender-queer runs for whatever Seat in Parliament they wish. The elections are the most televised and most watched occasion in Nerobi Narabba. Each candidate, and there are usually very many, are invited to a weekly debate on the largest news network in Nerobi Narabba, N4, Nerobi Narabba's News Network. Elections usually run every five years and campaigns last for about a year, although this is very different for each provincial election.

Federal Government

There is only one House of parliament within Nerobi Narabba's federal government, and even this House has very few Seats. The Seats in the House include: Pseudo-Dictator, Public Transportation Minister, Arch General, Public Health Minister, Budget Minister, Exalted Spiritual Advisor, Business Minister, Foreign Affairs Minister, The XX General, Propaganda Minister, Public Affairs Minister, The Representative from each Province, and The Representative of the people.

Nerobi Narabba's head of state has the tittle of Pseudo-Dictator. Generally the Pseudo-Dictator looks over the general running of the Nation, hardly ever intervening. The Pseudo-Dictator is the only Minster within the Federal government that can challenge another Minister's policy. When he does this he simply puts the unwanted policy up for a vote for the other Ministers. Some issues are required to be voted on by some, or all, ministers. The Pseudo-Dictator can veto any vote that is up for a vote as long as he has the support of at least 2 other Ministers. He cannot veto a policy he has challenged from another Minister.

Privinces and Provincial Government

Each province differers greatly. Not much can be said about them as a whole except that their only similarity is that they are a part of the same nation.

Ailime

Originaly a seperate country given to the wife of an Emperor, whose name has dissapeared from all records, Ailime has become province within Nerobi Narabba once again. Should any part of Nerobi Narabba seem opressive, politicaly or civily, it would be Ailime. This is by no means saying much, Ailime residence are still free to do nearly whatever they wish. On the upside, Ailime has the lowest crime rate throughout Nerobi Narabba. Provincialy elections are very irregualr are far in-between with most officals serving for life.

Augusta

Named after the greatest of the Nerobi Narabbian Emperors, Lartus Augustus, this province is the one where the majority of the business and politics are run from. This is also the province that houses the Capital, Karaktitus. The citizens of Augusta are renown across the country for their wealth. Augusta is, however, the crime capital of Nerobi Narabba. Augusta is the most northern and most polluted of all the provinces, and is thus the coldest. Since Summer and Winter do not effect the temperature of Nerobi Narabba (dew to the large smog cloud that covers the whole country, and most neighboring countries) the temperature averages to about -30 Celsius for Augusta. Provincial elections are held often, mostly because the officials don't survive their own term.

Shenir

Shenir was the first and only (ex)nation to break off from Nerobi Narabba through a bloody conflict. Once the cold war started Shenir found itself on the named enemy list of the Nerobi Narabbian Empire, and was quickly conquered. The result of the past blood-baths between Shenir and the rest of Nerobi Narabba has caused it to be the least trusted and least favored of all the Nerobi Narabbian provinces. There has been on many occasions been riots against the Federal Government at random held in Shenir. As there is much less industrialization within Shenir the smog cloud covering it is much thinner than the rest of the country causing the smog cloud covering Nerobi Narabba to dissipate slightly over Shenir. Because of this the temperature is much higher and much more varying than Nerobi Narabba as a whole. Its average temperature is about 0 Celsius. Most elected representatives from Shenir are separatists or anarchist (that is, more anarchist than the nation is already).

Armed Forces

Nerobi Narabba's armed forces, as a whole, go by a single name: The Peace Breakers. The separate divisions within the armed forces are; The Military, The Air Force, The Navy, The Police Forces, and the XX. As the rest of the country, each member of the Peace Breakers has been genetically enhanced.

The Air Force (Mortis Acredula)

As the one part of The Peace Breakers that is not overfunded, the Air Force is generally overshadowed by the rest of the Armed Forces. Highly few in number, but still rather well equip, the Nerobi Narabbian Air Force consist of only a few dozen thousand in number. What the Air Force lacks in power it usually makes up for in tactical adaptability and speed. The Peace Breakers don't kid themselves, however, on the effectiveness of their Air Force, they know that if a war came down to a pure air fight, Nerobi Narabba would be the combatant who would surely suffer defeat.

The Military (The Tyrants Hand)

The Nerobi Narabbian military, more widely known as the Tyrant's Hand, are notorious for taking whatever side can pay the most during a war. Also despised for their cruelty, they are known for being utterly ruthless to those enemies they capture. They are always equip with top-of-the-line weaponry and armor, stealing whatever is more up-to-date from the enemies they are currently engaging. The Tyrants Hand are above all else known for their skill, strength, and cunning.

The tank divisions within The Tyrant's Hand are renowned for their speed, favoring fast, blitzkrieg-like strikes as opposed to long, drawn out battles. Even the colossal Hades Class tanks are faster than the average medium tank.

The Black Talons

There are famous and infamous tales surrounding the perhaps most elite of all fighting forces within Nerobi Narabba: The Black Talons. Selected only from the mostly battle hardened, blood thirsty, and experienced fighters within The Tyrant's Hand, The Black Talons even cause brave hearted recruits of The Tyrant's Hand quiver in their boots. Renowned cannibals and sadists, many foes coming across the Black Talons would rather a bullet in the head than being taken alive. Although it has been banned in most armies across the civilized world, The Black Talons have trademarked the use of flamethrowers.

The Navy (Unda Everto)

The Nerobi Narabbian Navy is comprised wholly of U-boats and other submersibles. From simple one man speed crafts to entire aircraft careers are able to sink beneath the sea. Pressing this trait fully Unda Everto specializes in sudden stealth strikes that minimize personal damage while maximizing that taken by the enemy. Smart technology water mines (that is, water mines that only detonate when encountering a non NN ship) are employed whenever moving through hostile waters which aids in the chaos and confusion the Unda Everto strike in their enemy.

While the Nerobi Narabbian navy is not as epic in numbers as it's military, that does not mean that its navy does not dwarf those of most countries. On the contrary, Nerobi Narabba has uncontested control of all waters surrounding the country.

The XX

The political and corporate police known as the Xerampelinaextundo are the only lasting legacy of the Nerobi Narabba Emperors. If there was to ever be a secret police to be feared, it is the XX. Uncounted Pseudo-Dictators have 'gone missing' with the XX held as the main suspect. No matter how the authorities try to strip the power of the XX it is usually quite impossible to do so, for they usually seem all too untraceable and deadly. How they recruit is a mystery. But in the end all that can be said about the XX is purely speculation; even if they truly exist is a matter for debate.
