The armed forces of the Grand Duchy of Maanenland are the responsibility of the Maanenic Ministry of Defence on behalf of the Duke of Cliffton. The position of Commander-in-Chief is shared between the Lord Lietuenant and the Crown.
The Maanenic Armed Forces' responsibility is to protect the territorial integrity of Maanenland and the strategic interests of the duchy wherever they may be in the world. The armed forces remain fully neutral of any defence alliance.
