Chapeltown is the capital of Simonvia. It was established as the first settlement of Simonvian people. The hamlet has grown over many years into the bustling capital city that visitors will now find when they go to the capital of Simonvia. During the Oubanarian War, the Simonvian capital was one of the targets of many attacks. Now, the country just starting to regain normal life. The Chapeltown Bombings as they were known as, caused havoc throughout Simonvia. Now though, Chapeltown is thriving again and has recently reopened a high speed rail link to St Albans, another of the early settlements in Simonvia. Derby is only a short train ride away as well.

A brand new airport, Chapeltown Airport, has also opened to fly people to and from places like Portaños and is served by many airlines including the increasingly popular Simonvian Airways. The tourism industry in Chapeltown took a massive dip during the Oubanarian War and The Chapeltown Bombings but has now increased thanks to Simonvian Airways.

The Simonvian leader Simon Gilson 5th, also holds regular meetings in Chapeltown with the councils of the other major cities of Simonvia (Elsecar, Sheffield, Derby & St Albans). This is to keep Simonvia running as smoothly as possible.

The Kangaroo Football Cup is held every two years at the Simonvian Pride stadium, the home of Chapeltown Kangaroos Football Club.
