Balkan City serves as Asgarnieu's Capital City. Balkan City is the largest city in the nation with over 760 Million citizens. Mayor Alexandra E. Mortensen is the leader of the city, and has been in office for over 3 years. Balkan City is also home to one of the largest airports in the region. Balkan City International handles over 14,000 flights each week. Balkan City also is home to all of the Foriegn Embassys. Balkan City has the lowest crime rate in the nation, which is set at a flat 1%.
Capital City
Balkan City is home to Grand Parliment, National Congress, National Senate, the Court of High Justice, The Presidental Palace, and The Government Square building. All of the government is located in Balkan City.
Trade
In addition to being the Capital City, Balkan City is also a huge center for trade. Market Square is the equivalent of the United States' Wall Street. Over §1,000,000,000,000.00 Asgarnian Gold Points are exchanged here every week.
Embassys
Over 25 nations have embassys in Asgarnieu. Almost all of them are located in Balkan City. Embassy Avenue is where all of them make their home. Embassy Avenue is located near the center of Balkan City.
Airports
Balkan City is home to over 10 different airports, but all of them pale in comparison to Balkan City International Airport. It handles over 14,000 flights every week. Other airports are mostly business airports, or general aviation airports. There are also 19 Heliports.
Defense
Balkan City is home to 3 Air Force Bases, 2 Army Forts, 1 Marine Camp, and 1 Special Forces Fort. There is also a large depot for military vehicles near the outskirts of the city. There are also 5 Asgarnian National Guard stations. The TITO Division in Asgarnieu is also located in Balkan City. Anti-Aircraft Missiles and Artillery are also present around and throughout the city. Patriot Anti-Missile Launchers are also in and around the city. 4 Nuclear Missile silos are located around the city as well. A large 20-foot wall around the city is expected to be comleted soon.
