Marshal J.L. (b. September 19, 1959) has been the President and dictator of the Pest Control Company of Roach-Busters since assuming power in a coup d’état. In the fifteen years that he has governed the country, he has made many accomplishments, both positive and negative, earning him a mixed legacy: at home, he is widely idolized, practically worshipped, by the masses, who view him as a semi-divine figure, thanks in part to the extensive cult of personality surrounding him; abroad, opinions on J.L. range from high praise to outright revulsion. However, one thing that both his supporters and detractors agree on is that he has revolutionized the country dramatically, turning a formerly Third World country into a highly developed, prosperous nation with a booming economy and a powerful military to enforce its interests. While not as economically advanced as Pacitalia or militarily powerful as Automagfreek, for example, it is definitely a relatively large power on the world stage.

Childhood

Little is known about J.L.'s childhood. Shortly after capturing the presidency in 1990, he ordered nearly all records of his past destroyed, ostensibly to protect "sensitive" information, but in reality so he could concoct a new "past" for himself, one embellished with tales of legendary courage and superhuman accomplishments, to help foster his personality cult.
